Vanishing Point (1997) Made for TV movie, A Mopar Lovers Movie!

Just on a whim, my wife and I watched the 1997 remake of Vanishing Point (1971), starring Viggo Mortensen. Wow, were we impressed with the Mopar references throughout, much more than the original movie. While the movie itself was a bit campy, it was still awesome. So many classic Mopar...

1965 Fury New H4 Type Halo Headlights Dimming Out

I'm glad you replied with that info, I couldn't find that online. I wasn't sure which light is supposed to be high/low (top or bottom), and which was high only. Thanks!!

1965 Fury New H4 Type Halo Headlights Dimming Out

Ordering the kit now, thanks for all the input. That's what I suspected, but just wanted some more advice. My battery tests at 12.35V using a voltmeter, post-to-post. But my front wiring harness, with a new floor dimmer and new dash light switch, only reads about 10.9V-11V, so I'm losing some...

1965 Fury New H4 Type Halo Headlights Dimming Out

The LED Halos are being used as DRLs, I hopped off the marker lights from down low in the bumper, works perfect. They're low-voltage, so don't draw much off the markers, and look great. I replaced the floor dimmer right away, hoping to eliminate that as a possible issue (only about $6 at Rock...

1965 Fury New H4 Type Halo Headlights Dimming Out

OK, I wanted to update my front 4 headlights in my 1965 Plymouth Sport Fury. The lights that came with the car were old, 1 was burnt out, and I just wanted a newer look with the LED halo circle. After I finally got them all installed, I tried them out, the worked and looked great, for about 1...

65 Fury Poor Drum Power Brakes

I decided to just make the jump and do a full-on disk swap, with new booster, master, proportioning valve etc. for a number of reasons. Not only to upgrade a much more modern and better brake solution, but for looks too. I know some purists try to stick with what's original in the car...

65 Fury Poor Drum Power Brakes

Thanks for the reply, very much appreciated. Yes, I suspect the booster also. I ordered a vacuum gauge from Amazon, gonna check the vacuum pressure. My understanding is sitting vacuum should be about 18. Will let you know. Thanks!

65 Fury Poor Drum Power Brakes

That's exactly the conclusion I was coming to. I keep buying parts, chasing my tail, and nothing improves. I know I'm doing the disc conversion anyway, might as well pull the trigger. Was just hoping to replace a few simple parts, wham-bam, decent brakes, and learn something about drum brakes...

65 Fury Poor Drum Power Brakes

CENTRIC 11103370 Made almost zero difference to the "stock" configuration that scared the living baJesus outta me a month ago. Took her out for her maiden "longer" drive, about 12 miles, and scared the hell outta me. The new parts made almost no difference. No leaks, new fluid, good bleed...

65 Fury Poor Drum Power Brakes

Got a 1965 Sport Fury with power brakes, 2 3/4" x 11" fronts, 2 1/2" x 11" rears. Just got the car, trying to make it road-safe. Runs fine (383, 4bbl, 3spd) but boy, oh boy, she doesn't wanna stop. I've flushed the brake fluids thru all 4 corners, bled the lines, and replaced front...

I'm looking at doing a Wilwood front brake conversion myself. Which kit do you end up using? Rotor size? Pistons? Etc. I have factory power drums, but stopping power for this car is definitely lacking. I live in eastern TN in a very hilly and mountainous area where brakes fade fast. I've...
