68 Newport -- Crank but no start

I'll take a look at grabbing one of those manuals! Thank you! For the mean time, I'll take a look at the Fury FSM.

68 Newport -- Crank but no start

Took a look at the page but the closest I could get is to a 1966 Chrysler FSM, and mine is a 1968. I couldn't imagine them being too drastically different but with my luck that would be the different part lol

68 Newport -- Crank but no start

Cranked it with the fuel line disconnected and wasn't getting anything through the filter. I changed the filter and cranking it for about 10 seconds fuel started to flow! The engine is running once again, so thank you for all of your comments. I do suspect that the fitting where the fuel line...

68 Newport -- Crank but no start

I'll disconnect the fuel line and see if I get any gas when I crank it. If I do, then it'll probably be time for me to rebuild the carb again. If fuel comes out, then great! I'll just put a little bit down the carb and see if it'll at least sputter. If I get no fuel, well... then I'll have to...

68 Newport -- Crank but no start

Hello everyone, As the thread title suggests, my 1968 Newport (383) isn't starting. It fired up every single time with no issues for the past 7 years I've owned it, but one day it just randomly decided it'll no longer start. When I turn the ignition to start, it will crank... but after pumping...

    Antenna removal

Aha, you were right. I just gave it a twist and off she came. Thanks! I just wanted to make sure since the last time I removed an antenna that looked like you could put a wrench on it, I wound up snapping something lol

    Antenna removal

Here you go: From the looks of it, I have some room to get to it from under the hood. I'll look more closely later.

    Antenna removal

To get to it would I need to remove the inner fender? I can't find any other way to get to it unfortunately. If it winds up being removable, then great! I just want to avoid cutting the car cover since it was expensive and has a 7 year warranty on it, and cutting it will void it.

Looking for advice on car damaged during transport

Just thought I'd post an update on here as it's been a while. Unfortunately, the insurance company rejected the claim. So it'll just be sitting until I get enough money to throw at it. Unfortunately it'll probably be a year or two before I can repair it as I need to repair a rust spot on my...

    Antenna removal

Hi there! So, my 1968 Newport has a non-electric antenna on it that I need to take off so I can put a car cover on it. I've poked around on Google but couldn't find any information on how to do it, and I didn't find much using the search feature on here. I figure it'd be nice to just remove it...

Nope. It's USAA if you're familiar with them.

Looking for advice on car damaged during transport

I don't exactly have an agent. I called and talked to a claims representative and I explained the issue, and they said that they will contact the other insurance company and try to figure something out. So the claim is on-going and thats all that I know at this point.

Thanks for the heads up. Also, I noticed you're in Lompoc... I moved to Denver from San Luis Obispo lol

Looking for advice on car damaged during transport

He dropped it off during the afternoon. He dropped it off on a larger road (not busy) next to my house (car was visible from my street), but we just talked a little bit and he handed me the forms and told me to sign. Also, I never got any inspection report. He picked it up from a AAA parking lot...

Looking for advice on car damaged during transport

Well, after giving myself some time to think about it and read over the Bill of Landing again, I'm considering dropping the claim as there is a clause on there that says I can't hold them liable for any damage after it is signed. I saved a lot of money using them so what's about a grand...
