1971 Chrysler Newport Custom 383, rebuilding in Europe

Sidewall on General Grabbers is ok for me, but I have to admit I don't like the looks of the tread pattern. But, they do well in the rain. I only have them on the rear, front tires are General Altimax.

Yes, it's a regular Sport Fury, engine is the low comp 383. I agree, 70 fury is my favourite, that's why I bought it :) I do like Alpine White when there is no vinyl top. Sunfire yellow is great too, the S/23 looks perfect.

Tires are 235/70 General Altimax RT on original 6" road wheels at the front and 275/60 General Grabber HP on late 70s 7" road wheels with the (not fitting) 6" trim ring put on.

WANTED trim rings for 15x7 road wheels

Thanks for pointing that out. Then I think my search for original ones ends here, cause the shape shown by Mr C is not the shape I was looking for.

...so the trim rings were not only deeper, the appearence was also different compared to a 1970 road wheel?

Thank you, but yes, now you are mixing things up a little bit :) I know Murray B. Park is a good option to look for parts, just wanted to give it a try here :)

WANTED trim rings for 15x7 road wheels

no, original poster just wants to replace '70 road wheels by late 7" road wheels and since the trim rings do not fit the 7"... see picture above
