I already have a convertible top and a 2D HT car with badly dented and with c-pillars rusted out roof, so why not transform car to convertible.:D
Sheetmetal work is not a problem, but trying to duplicate the conv. windshield frame is a bit...
JW hasn´t put place for linkage on their bellhousing.
I am going to use column shift anyway, so I´m looking forward to find cable for transmission operation or then I´ll make my own screw in mounting point for linkage.
Nice this thread bumped up, as I´m having A518 also on my -67 Imp.
Trans is already mounted on car with JW bellhousing. I need to get that PATC kit to get OD and lockup.
The fitment needed trans tunnel to be reworked, but not much. I cut whole front end of tunnel off, but a lot less would have...

It´s better to hide it in ashtray, than hacking something that looks like that vintage air on beautiful original instrument panel..:mob:

Needs just cutting the rocker panels of and adding enough heavy gauge steel tubing inside there.
I´m probably adding also connectors between stub frame and front mountings of rear leaf springs to ad strength to body.
Still need to get the...
Does this convertible body has any extra reinforcements on body compared to 2D HT?

In Finland you can get every cracks and hits repaired from windshield, but price goes so high with bigger ones that its cheaper to by new one. Dividing line goes in somewhere 10cm/4" long crack.
On newer cars there is of course no idea to try to repair any longer...
