1972 Imperial 4 door YM43T2C137273. This one on Hemmings today. Looks pretty nice (if you can get past the colour). The vendor calls it "Golda". For those of you who aren't theatre fans, "Golda" was Tevye's wife in Fiddler on the Roof. Also, FWIW, Golda Meir was president of Israel from 1969 to...
I'm in the process of trying to buy one. Just heard about this car being available the other day (must have been asleep - heard about the Demon 170 immediately). Guess even in the rollout the car is a sleeper. Nearly had a deal made (trading my Hellcat on it) but was still dickering when...
Contest is over! We have a winner: detmatt
Matt displayed his prowess in "pick a number between 1 and 1,000" and came up the lucky one.
Big yellow will be joining Big red in his collection of promo models.
Thanks for "playing" Jeff. Sorry I didn't have two to give away.
Terrific car! I have half a mind to buy it back (although it might have been better to just have hired your services to restore it). Whoever ends up with this car will be well pleased. I really hope that it's you Jackson, and that you can figure out how to keep it and store it. If not, it would...
OK I am cheating here: two ways (so MODS, please move if you like):
1. I am not selling this, I am GIVING IT AWAY
2. It's not a car, it's a promo model.
This is the story. My friend John's dad was an executive at Chrysler Credit in Detroit in the 1960's. He regales us with stories of growing...
Here are a few more photos from that time. The back of the photo says spring 1981. Too bad it's such a crappy photo. Needed the wide angle lens to get all 19 feet 7 inches (or whatever) into the photo.
Here are the two Newports. That's a '66 Hemi Satelllite in the background.
And another...
I just came across this photo.
Not a great photo, but a REAL back in the day photo taken at my family home in Forest, Ontario, Canada. I am guessing it was taken around 1980. My mom was driving our terrific triple black 1972 Imperial when someone blew a stop sign and smashed into her. It was...
Count me against it too. I doubt my Hellcat Redeye would pass. I live right downtown in a very urban setting. Lots of noise: trains, trucks, ambulance, fire, police, construction etc. Live and let live I say.
Terrific video. I am jealous, but I could not have done the work. Good luck with it. I think you should sell Tux as opposed to TB. It'd be interesting to see if you offered them both for sale which one would sell first.
