    Made a drag strip visit.

Was easier to powerwash and reundercoat than strip it. Plus its a driver and not worried about weight

The exhaust gives it away quickly but i willnsay when starting it at shows or out to dinner, ect. Everyone turns to see. Haha wish i could quiet it down but exhaust options were limited. My repop fuel tank made itnimpossible to get exhaust to the bumper.

    Made a drag strip visit.

With my duster down my wife piloted our 66 new yorker at monster musclecar weekend. I ran it up at mopar nats at 12.70 she mostly stayed at 12.40s then pulled out a 12.35 as the night cooled off. Starting to get it dialed in. Keep in mind this was her first time drag racing so ignore the R/T...

512 Build, deciding on intake and carb manufacturer

Not sure in your vehicle but on my stroker i used a performer rpm with 850 holley and had to use a drop base air cleaner to clear hood. You will sacrifice some hp with the dual plane and a stroker doesnt need any more torque. My 493" made 550hp 600ftlbs. Guy who tuned and dynoed was convinced i...

    1966 new yorker freshened up

Wow i havent updated anything here. Been busy out having fun with the newyorker and spending most of my time with the duster. Since the duster is apart at the moment we tool the new yorker to the track this weekend and my wife made her drag racing debut. Was cosistenly running mid .40s of course...

    Gas cap issue?

Finally got to do some driving and noticed that ibhave fuel leaking past gas cap. Is this an issue of vented cap? Do i need a non vented? It doesnt seal very tight and im guessing at 50 years old its a little worn. I have a new replacement tank installed and new filler neck grommet but original...

    11 second quarter mile

Im anxious to see where my new yorker compares to yours. Ive watched your car everytime you post on it and its been a guide for mine. Im hoping i will see some comparable times. Mine has been dyno tuned and has all the upgrades its going to receive so the times will be what they are. It will be...

    1966 new yorker freshened up

Took car up to exhaust yesterday. Slightly dissapointed with the way it had to be routed. With the replacement tank taking so much room it didnt allow for getting exhaust to the back bumper. Not a chance at getting dual 3" out there much less. And the cal tracs prevented taking it out in front...

    Voltage regulator?

Ya, you cant be too hard on me. For a 28 year old ive built quite a few mopars and revamped them from sitting in fields and barns. And now i have roughly 16k into this newyorker. Its not everyones style for sure but its not being hacked together. Ive poured money into this car and kept a lot of...
