    Very low cooling pressure

As I recall I think it was ~130 out of the top vent. The car has never had fantastic heat for a number of reasons but it's fairly steadily always this temp. I'm just used to having firm hoses, it seemed a little odd to me.

HELP! In need of a radiator for a '68 Chrysler

For something budget, there's a vendor on Ebay that's selling aluminum radiators for ~$130. It seems pretty well made, clean welds, and it even bolted up on my 72. For something a little more correct looking, cold case would be your guys.

    Very low cooling pressure

I recently had to pull the radiator out of my 72 Newport. I put it back in, bled it, and I seem to have an air pocket trapped however I can't seem to find it. No leaks, the heater hose has coolant, I have reasonable heat, it's a brand new cap, radiator, new fan clutch, it doesn't overheat, and I...

    Yet another tire question

That was always my complaint with them, they're okay on dry highway but really really bad in rain. I like the cobras(and their off brand Hercules hp4000) and to be frank I think they're some of the best tires I've ever put on my cars, excellent dry traction, good in the rain, and they even work...

    Yet another tire question

I'd actually considered 255 all the way around, would allow me to actually rotate tires since I drive this car almost every day

    Yet another tire question

I hadn't even thought about sidewall roll, that's a good point

    Yet another tire question

Funny enough, I had bfgs on a duster and my supra and didn't like them on either car. I thought the traction on them was horrible, and the wet performance was abysmal

    Yet another tire question

This is running the wheels that were on it when I got it, I've got a really nice set of black police wheels I was thinking of using.

    Yet another tire question

Okay, now I know they'll go on the rim. Will they fit under the car? I know my quarter partially skirts the tire.

    Yet another tire question

It's tire time for my 72 Newport. I'd like to use cooper cobra white letters, I've had good success with them on my old Toyota. They offer 235/70/15 and 255/70/15. The latter is closest to the original height but I'm not sure if they'll even fit on 15x7 police wheels much less under the car...

    72 Newport-dash tach?

This is EXACTLY what I had in mind. Thanks!

    72 Newport-dash tach?

I'd really like to add a tach to my Newport, as it's pretty spartan with options as far as Chryslers go and I want to keep an eye on what the driveline is doing. I know very few were equipped with dash tachs but I have no clock and that hole could be doing something. Does anyone know if some of...

Vacuum actuators for 72 Newport-where do I find these?

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know at what temp the hot light on the panel trips? Car doesn't have a temp gauge and it cools as it should, I was just curious.

Vacuum actuators for 72 Newport-where do I find these?

It may just be an dirty connection on the switch itself. The wipers and light switches all had the same issue, but I'm planning on taking the motor out Sunday and having a good look at it, and testing voltage at the motor harness. Given the car was never driven in winter, I'm inclined to think...

Vacuum actuators for 72 Newport-where do I find these?

The coolant is nicely green and the car appears to have been cared for, issue now is the blower motor spinning slowly but driving it around town should give me some ram air and that will do for now but I will need to address that soon. I used the how bad does this burn my hand method lol, I...
