see if the rubber donut is grounded from one side of the donut to the other side, or add a jumper wire to both sides and test your blinkers. it is the number 1 circle

There is a wire/spring that grounds both sides of the rubber steering damper in the engine bay . A lot of times this has been removed. if this has been removed or damaged, try grounding the upper part of the steering column (above the rubber damper ). I don't have a photo ,as mine is still...
