    Bought the Summit Racing Proform P/N 66993 orange control module ignition upgrade kit today. 145.00 with dist, ballast resistor&fasteners.

    The Proform unit was purchased as the Vacuum advance had failed and availability is limited and expensive when compared to an entire system replacement at 145 including S&H. The install was methodical and after 3 hours of carefully reading and following the directions supplied the 383 came alive. Test drive indicated a half second improvement on zero to 60 for the slab side.
