NOT MINE 1967 New Yorker 2 dr fastback $24,750

Don't know if the market is quite there yet, especially on a non-A/C car, but that's about as nice as they get.

Remember the Price is Right Program that Aired on TV in the 60's??

Mustang IIs and Vegas certainly were better looking cars than the various garish gargoyles and rolling road toads that sully the streets today.

    Christine clone

I've heard of that car, I believe it's in Australia or New Zealand.

Opinions on converting from R12 to R134?

I would replace the thermal expansion valve. They are cheap and are supposed to be replaced any time the system is opened, although not every one does it.

Carb Cheater - Auto Tune a Carburetor!

Thunderhead 289 is the same guy who adapted a Briggs & Stratton carb to his Maverick and took it on Power Tour last year. I think he got over 30MPG out of the SBF/4speed combo, but at some loss of hill climbing power. He's got some interesting ideas.

1978 New Yorker Brougham 440; misfire above idle

Kinda sounds distributor related, or Lean Burn as it's all tied in to it. I'd put a timing light on it to see what it's doing at the higher RPMs, and to see total advance with a dial-back timing light.

Opinions on converting from R12 to R134?

While I haven't converted a vintage Mopar to R134 yet, I have done it on a half-dozen other old cars, all with good results. The most recent was an '89 Mustang GT convertible that needed a new compressor. I switched all the O rings to green, flushed the system to remove as much of the old...

    More fender tag fun

Lots of great information there. It would be nice to know what the internal order was for, considering that this car is really plain - the basest of the base with only A/C, vent windows, and side trim as options - at least from what we know. The previous owner was converting it to a replica...

    More fender tag fun

Many thanks, that about covers it. Were the upper interior door frames painted to match the interior color? What do you make of that 68 hand stamped in the tag?

    More fender tag fun

Before my Monaco is permanently Bluesmobiled, I'd like to document what it started out as. So I've spent some time on the interwebs trying to find the various codes on the fender tag; not as easy a job as it should be by now. I think I've got most of them, culled from various sources. The four I...

    Trans cooler lines

I don't have any at all, so nothing for patterns. I do have good tubing benders, and used the original 5/16" fuel lines to make a duplicate in 3/8", so making the trans lines is possible, but I need to find a formal to take pictures of to see where they even go. I can wing it, but I want it to...

    Trans cooler lines

I'm ready to install cooler lines in my '74 Monaco with a 440/727, and I have none. Looks like Inline Tube makes them for the earlier C bodies, would they fit with a tweak or two?
