You are welcome. Same, I'm pretty sure that when counting everything, building cars like this in Europe (especially C-bodies with uncommon parts) is double the price compared to what it would costs while living in the US.
Good question on the leafspring differences. maybe @HWYCRZR knows.
I've...
Using the freight forwarder I needed to send the parts to South Carolina where it's packed in the container. Can't remember shipping cost from ESPO to SC, think it was low 100USD???
From there I've paid 165eu for shipping, 64eu for export declaration, 21eu for import declaration (that was for...
@Stargazer
I've received a pair of 7 leaf springs from ESPO Springs n things last week with hangers, bushings and bolts.
Price and Laura's help are both great!
I've used a freight forwarder to get parts from the US to the netherlands paying for volume and not by weight.
Takes a couple of...
Hi all,
I'm trying to strip my '68 Newport.
How can I remove this c pillar trim piece?
Is it clipped on or screwed from the inside?
I can't seem to find it in the '68 manual...
And does someone has tips to remove the rear window trim? I can't seem to unhook te clips. I did manage to...
Yes I'm running an impco system but cobbled together myself. I'm using a polish GZWM 90 L tank (360mm diameter, 986mm long), net volume is 75L. And using tomasetto at02 extra multivalve with 8mm connection.
The trunk looks big but it was very hard to fit a big tank. With a lot of struggling...
Hi all,
I'm looking for all parts needed to use a manual (non-power/booster) brake pedal.
- brake pedal
- firewall plate +gasket
- pushrod from pedal to MC
(- bracket??? Or does the manual pedal also bolts in to the power pedal bracket).
Does someone have this laying around from a parts...
Hi,
I've been away from the forum for a while, so maybe I've missed something.
But I'm getting an "Origin Unreachable" error a lot of times when trying to open pages on forcbodiesonly.com
Also a lot of images won't load 50% of the time.
This happens on different PCs, different browsers and also...
(Pictures are not always loading, sometimes I have to refresh multiple times, do other people have this issue?)
(I also have origin unreachable error when loading forcbodiesonly.com often)
Well it's been way longer than I planned between updates.
I hope I can be more active again as of now...
Almost.
The J measurement is on the inside of the rim. The backspacing is to the outside of the rim.
So a 15x8 rim is 9" wide at the ouside. Which with 0 offset has a backspacing of 4.5". Which explains a 4.25" backspacing with a -6mm offset.
I just found this handy link on the summit racing...
Thanks for the information.
I think ET is also called offset?
"Offset is stamped on a wheel as an ET value, which refers to the German phrase “Einpress Tiefe.” ET indicates the distance between the mounting surface and the geometric centre of the wheel (the symmetry axle), usually expressed in...
Hi all!
I'm looking for new rims and tires for my '68 Newport. It currently has stock 14" rims with 205/75r14 Hankook tires which are more than 10 years old and are not round anymore.
I've got my eyes on a set of 15x7 for the front and 15x8 in the rear.
I want the widest tires possible...
Hey all!
I'm doing really well. We've moved to another house. Finally with a big shop behind the house instead of a small one miles away.
We've been really busy with the house. And we're currently preparing the shop for a new concrete floor with a 2 post lift! Looking forward to that.
I...
This Brawler has a single stage power valve. Secondary metering block is plugged and not drilled for PV jets.
It currently has an 8.5" PV. I've tried a 10.5 first, since I have 21" cruise vacuum, but that didn't work well. I went down to a 8.5 (18" Idle vacuum divided by 2) and that worked way...
