Oh yes. Today I went through the annual vehicle inspection with zero remarks. This means that this was the last inspection ever. Here in Sweden, from last year, all vehicles that are more than 30 years old don't need this any more. Everything went well and the guy who performed the inspection...

So boys and girls. Now I have fired up the rebuilt engine and it runs great. Have just broken in the cam and soon it is time to take the old lady out for a spin. You can find a small clip on Youtube here . So just relax, sit back and enjoy the song she is making :)

Today I finally got the thumbs out of my a.... and installed the new engine. A couple of more visits to the garage and hopefully I will be able to fire it up within 2-3 weeks. Pretty nervous to be honest :)

Hi. We have 98 RON here in Sweden and I guess that is what I will feed the engine with. With the K6400 I don't need a roller cam setup.

The only history I have is that the car most probably was sold by Roger Mauro, Lakewood, Denver and was imported to Sweden appr 3 years ago. Do you have more history of the car? Would really appreciate if you could tell me more :)

Hi there I have aimed for a compression rate of appr 10:1. I found this article where they have basically the same setup as I have and they manage to get out just above 400hp out of the old 383. Camshaft Comparison Testing Also found this clip on youtube running the K6400 cam. Sounds really...

    My Chrysler Newport 1967

So, the 29th of April 2018 I finally fired up the rebuilt engine. Runs like a charm. The car came with a 400 from 76-78 which was leaky and tired. Managed to get a hold of a 383 block (as it should be in the original car) and I have now equipped it with: - Cylinder heads from 440-source...
