    How's Everyone On Newer Cars?

Have you considered that maybe it could be fuel delivery, have you replaced the fuel filter? Your fuel pressure, at the fuel rail should be 59psi +/- 5psi with the ignition on engine not running. I could cut and paste the whole fuel delivery test procedure on here from All Data, but it is lengthy.

    Had a visitor today!!

The coolest part about it....Made a friend through this transaction and I still get to see the car, and when it needs work beyond the new owner's capabilities he will bring it to me to work on. Guess I got more attached to that Polara than I realized lol

    Had a visitor today!!

Today the new, still very excited, and very proud owner of the '68 Polara I rebuilt last year, stopped by the shop hoping I could help him figure out some small issues he was having (he brought a 12 pack of beer, how could I say no). It is so great to see someone that thrilled about driving...

No sale... I ended up trading it for a nice, low mileage '05 Road King Custom.

I don't recall who made them, I found them on the Discount Tire/ America's Tire website. The style was "Old Skool", the offset for the 17x9 rears was perfect. I went to an actual Discount Tire store to buy them and the guy at the counter figured out the offset. Those rear tires are 275/40's and...

That number 2 hose retainer is part of the alternator bracket, I do believe

What car was your "rolling bordello" when you were in school?

Mine was the nightmare of any parent with teenage girls lol. I worked at a GMC truck lot when I was 17 yrs old and bought a wholesale trade that came in... a 1974 Dodge Tradesman 200 for $400, the short wheelbase one, 318c.i w/ three on the tree, a cargo van with only the two front seats. Of...

    66 monaco disk brake conversion

I used the Scarebird kit on my '68 Polara, it was simple and straightforward. The only potential problem that could arise if one is not prepared, is having to press the machined rings (included in the kit) onto the spindle, to accommodate the new rear seal on the new rotor/hub assembly. I...

    Hard time finding winshield!!!

I called Pilkington Classics. If I recall the glass was about $280 and shipping to a business address was another $140. Steele Rubber had the gasket

'68 Polara Fuel and temp gauge issue

Oh really? Mine has the printed circuit also. Would that indicate the limiter is in another location other than inside the gauge cluster? If anybody knows the exact location of this elusive device on a 1968 Polara I would be most grateful for that info

'68 Polara Fuel and temp gauge issue

I'm guessing mine is inside of the instrument cluster.... I really don't want to remove that again

'68 Polara Fuel and temp gauge issue

I can clearly see the condenser, but I didn't see the limiter. I will have get back under the dash and take a closer look. Thank you
