a as far as which heads it has couldn't tell you nor have I looked. It would have whichever heads a standard K code 350 horse 440 that a 68 Imperial would have. As far as putting the EFI on instead of leaving a carb on it. It needed a new carb anyway, I looked into getting a replacement...
I have a 68 Imperial that has the original unmolested 440 that is bone stock & as far as I can tell has never opened up. That I am putting a Holley sniper 2 on. What's the deal with lead substitute is it needed for this motor or is there something else that I should run in it or just filler up...
the reason I was looking to go with a 160 is. I am Installing a Sniper 2 EFI system I have been watching and reading a bunch of videos & install stuff about throttle body efi systems. There were 4 common items/issues people have come across. Makes sure the electrical install is done properly...
Basically I was hoping to find VR1 in 10-40 but they only had it in 10-30 or 20-50. so I just bought napa premium 10-40 & Lucas Oil TB Zinc Plus additive
what's everyone's opinion on engine oil for a 68 imperial with a 440. I am going to put in a 160 or 180 thermostat in it and it is due for an oil change just curious what the best oil for these. Should I go with 10-30, 10-40 or like a 15-40 diesel oil that has all the extra vitamins & minerals...
I almost went with fitech but ended up pulling the trigger on the Holley a couple days ago mainly for similar reasons you stated. I liked the fact that I can get their Hyperspark ignition & the in tank module.
I am going to see how the drop in module for the B body works & worst case scenario ill have to buy a B body tank & lose 4 gallons of fuel capacity. I'll let you guys know how things go. I ordered a holley sniper 2 kit today & a fuel pump/sending unit module for a B body
I am going to put a holley or fitech EFI on my 68 Imperial. From what I can find an inline fuel pump or a surge tank are my only options. I wanted to do an In tank retro fit module but there is not room to install one in the top of the tank unless I do some goofy stuff to drop the tank lower...
I talked to them earlier in the week & they currently dont have one for the RB engines the guy I talked to thought they did but once he got looking he said they only have one for the B engines but not the RB. The only one they make is a raised version for the RB which I think is pretty much a...
looking for a Weiand 8009 Action plus intake manifold for a RB motor. From what I have done research wise this is one of the best intake manifolds that is not taller or maybe its only a little taller than the factory cast intake as there is basically no room in my 68 Imperial engine bay for a...
what is the real scoop & what is truly needled to convert from R12. I had a leaking Schrader valve on my compressor so I lost my refrigerant charge so I had it evacuated & recharged with 134. It blows cool enough air for temps in the 80s to low 90s but isn't cold enough for when temps get to the...
