Rivets are easy... I don't want to break the needle. Are there any tools out there for pulling the needle from the clock spring?

Well something like that! When I got my 65 Fury, I received a newsed speedo with it. Come to find out, it's not for my year. Who have you taken your speedo to, so they can remove the needle and mech to put it on the old faceplate?

I know it's an old post, but I need the shifter needle that tells you what the transmission is in. I could also use the 65 SpeedO as well.

Went out to the workshop and pulled the old one. Grabbed the replacement out of the box, slipped it into the hole and damn... not the same bezel. Ok take it apart and use the insides in my shroud and bezel... NOPE different insides. Now I need to find some micro rivets, drill the old ones out...

Oh man you just saved my @ss. I was told the windshield needs to come out. NEXT project... speedo swap tomorrow evening. :)

The seals in place weren't too bad.

I figured it out and it has been a successful mission thus far! I've even started polishing the chrome while it was out. :)

I have a book in the trunk, not sure what it is. The front one is screwed in as a keeper for sure.

Can anyone tell me how the trim comes off that is around the door at the top? Is it just pressed in?

I've been wanting heavy metal for a few years now. My son failed classes so the bug went away. He has an opportunity to EARN this back, but he needs to maintain a B average to get it back. I still have a nice VW, now I get the best of both worlds!

Sunday morning I spent a couple hours cleaning and buffing the paint a little. I plan on buying something with a little more umph! You all asked for more pictures, here they are. I'll get some engine pictures up soon. Can anyone recommend a good electric fan conversion for a 22" radiator?
