And I almost had a catastrophe right out of the gate as I was warming up to check transmission fluid and noticed my upper radiator hose doing this. Yikes. I guess the cap just wasn't on quite right.
There were a lot more cars there (489) than I recall last year.. I think I got pics of all our style represented (plus a few other cool ones). Pretty much all Furies though, the beautiful New Yorker was the only other one I found. No 300's/Monaco's/etc.
Anyone going to the Mopar show at the Gilmore museum on the 22nd? I only saw one of my vintage Furies last year (a really nice '67). Several 65-66's but it seemed like a lot of the folks there had late model Challengers.
Hey all,
I'm still dinking around with this leaking power steering return line fitting but I see no reason for it to do so. The fitting and o-rings are new and the mating surface is clean and blemish free. Is there a standard length that I could've screwed up some of internal mojo with by...
Thanks all, I had no idea green, sweet smelling antifreeze turns orange and odorless when sitting on a painted, slightly corroded surface. I dribbled a little more in that area and let it sit overnight and sure enough, it was completely orange/red. The entire puddle under the car was orange...
My uneventful water pump, etc. replacement last weekend appears to be a short term victory. Last night after a short trip to Napa I discovered a pool of transmission fluid from a weep hole (?) on top of the engine near the valve cover.. The FSM doesn't appear to mention this. Does anyone...
So I decided to replace the water pump and thermostat while I was screwing around with the fan since it was so close by. I could tell from the discoloration/corrosion of the pump housing that it had... seen some things even though the impeller looked ok. I was also incorrect about the t-stat...
Thanks! That makes more sense. In your first pic is the "trunk vinyl" attached behind the metal trim piece on the back of the seat, or is it tucked down into the space behind the seat?
Yeah, there's a channel on top of the metal piece in the pic where the rubber strip is peeking out from. But it doesn't have room for both the trunk strip and top strip.
Hey All,
Last year at a "Cars & Coffee" one of the guys running the show noticed that my snap on boot cover wasn't connected to my seat back. As it is now the vinyl piece the top rests on in the trunk is pressed into the metal channel with a rubber strip (I removed it a little to take a look)...
