Hey Guys,

I wanted to put a post out to see if anyone else has ran Trickflow heads on their Chrysler's. Last year I built a 446 high comp with their heads and drove it all summer. Did not have a chance to make any passes yet but should be ready in the spring.

Specs:
Mopar forged crank with six pack rods.
Weisco pistons 12:1 comp
Trickflow 240 heads
MP .590 cam
Trickflow intake with Proform 950
Hooker 5113 headers
Turbo Action 4000 stall
Jim Pranis built 727 w/Cope internals - ran 3.55 gears from Pittsburgh to Carlisle and the nationals

What air cleaner you going to run and will you have to cut a hole in the hood?
I went a very different direction when getting my engine designed for my 69 Fury III 2 door. Any idea of the weight of you car?? What are your intentions for the car? Nice car by the way.

Thanks!, the car is around 4200lbs without me in it. Due to the way the new yorkers hood is bowed, there is about an inch of room for an air-screen. I am putting nitrous on the car so a plate is going to move it up. Ill have to think abound finding a hood scoop that doesn't look ridiculous.

Setup now as street strip, im sure with a gear change to 4.56's i can make it fly.

I'm waiting on some times from this big girl. I'm about 1000 lbs lighter with very worked over 906, 11+:1 c.r., and a .557 Mopar cam.

Should have brought it to the PID nostalgia nationals in late September. It a good event (no ricers, or late model). Air was good this year.

I have the Trickflow 270 heads on my 505 that I built for my street/strip 69 GTX. Not quite finished yet, but made 713 hp/709 torque on the dyno. Basically out of the box heads. I was happy.

Details of the build?

Its an aftermarket "The Block" block with Molnar 4.25 crank and rods. It is a pump gas motor but the builder made an error in the compression calculation and its 11.14:1 instead of the 10.8:1 it was supposed to be. Will be adding a touch of octane boost to the fuel.

Cam is a mechanical roller averaging .643 lift and average 262 duration at 0.050 lift.

Intake is a Mopar Performance 337 intake with a port match to the heads. Carb is a Gary Williams 4150 that flows 1000 cfm.

Mine is close to yours. 4.375 stroke, 11.25 CR, 268/272 duration solid roller, 337 intake, heads and intake opened up to MW size, 4500 carb 1150ish.
I run a Progression Ignition distributor, no detonation on 90 octane non-ethanol unless you really hog on it in 5th.
4200 with me in it.
