Something I was wondering about. I thought my blower motor was bad so I bought a new one form AutoZone. It turns out it just had a bad ground and works fine. What I'm wondering about is now that I have the fender off if I should change it anyway but part of me says the original is probably better quality then the Chinese one from AutoZone. Any thoughts?

Remove it, spin the squirrel cage. If it sounds rough, replace it. If not, put it back.

I would take your original apart, clean it, polish the commutator, and lube the bushings. On the rare occasion, the brushes will be worn down and need to be replaced.

I know I have not posted a bunch about the Fury lately. I finished the front windshield frame repair but I'm waiting to install the new windshield until I have the under dash rust repaired.
I have also been busy with getting the farm ready before old man winter starts blowing.
Oh yeah, I INSTALLED A HOIST!!!!! See pic below. The Jag on it was the test mule. I needed to test it with a car a didn't care if it fell off. LOL
It is a very old hoist that I rebuilt and now it has it's forever home.

Sounds like you adopted it from a hoist shelter...
Looks like it's a good fit into the rafters. Is it high enough to stand up straight under it? I have to use a wheeled stool sometimes with my four post, depending on the car.

Yes it is just high enough to stand under. Happy not to have to lay on my back doing transmission R&I anymore. Too old for that.
I'd figure out a way to reattach those joists when not working on a vehicle ....I don't know if you get snow n ice but that stuff weighs a lot ...1 gal ='s 8 lbs
Good point but not a problem. I put in a top beam that is supported by the towers of the hoist. So now the hoist is a structural part of the garage. Also my garage is built into a berm on 3 sides so the roof is not going push the walls out.
