I never understood why the crazies have to drag other people under with them. Those people that got killed had lives, friends, families, and a role in society.

I just heard an interesting presentation last night from an individual that works for the Dept of Homeland Security. The theory that has been developed behind this type of behavior is that the individual has recently experienced something that caused them to feel as though they have lost control of their life and it isn't regain-able. Therefore they lash out and the last act of ultimate control "normal" is to take their own life because then no one else has control over what happens to them.

The one thing I hate about the "People's Republic of Maryland" is that it is IMPOSSIBLE to get a CCP here unless you are a slimeball politician. I've been a weapons professional with a Top Secret security clearance for 50 years and STILL can't carry.

That is a horrible irony. Where I work probably 2/3 of us have CCP's and 1/3 of us carry daily.

• "to and from Home, Bank, and business while carrying large sums of money." It was as good az a non badge holder could get in Michigan without the word "GENERAL" on it. Still it allowed me to pac my Model 29 Smith "Dirty Harry" 24X7 in transport or walkin' legally. Raised ah bunch of eyebrows in a lot of different places back then, lol. Now I just ware one of my 50 YO Olive Drab Dungaree 8 points that got replaced by Camo somewhere 'bout 30 yearz after I had my DD214 and I enjoy Waring it-them in doorz and out of doorz and believe it or not I've been called for Waring it indoors and we all being ex Jar Head's anyway know that that's a NO NO unless your "under arms". I've been ask? I just ask those that ask, "HOW DO YOU KNOW I'M NOT" and I get that BIG EYE'd Blank Stare. HO HO HO, Just havin' fun. Jer

Your friend must have taken Fraz Kafka seriously. Kafka theorized that if there was any higher power in the universe, it was pure evil and enjoyed the suffering of the masses of humanity. The best one could do was to kill oneself ASAP to deprive it of its pleasure.

As far as this POS killer is concerned, he probably is a delicate little snowflake who earned "participation" trophies in sports and was told constantly that he was 'special". Most of the left wing new arrivals to congress spent their formative years in Liberal universities learning that the 2nd Amendment is part and parcel to the so called "oppression" of ethic minorities and the poor. If you shoot some SOB trying to rip you off, you are an oppressor and engaged in "white privilege". You effectively deserve to have your stuff stolen because you have more if it than the "oppressed".
The radical left , the George Soros types, have long had wet dreams about how to disarm the American public so that the Socialist/Communist economic revolution to redistribute wealth could take place. They know it can not be done as long as the public is armed and able to resist. That is why there is the constant barrage of anti-gun propaganda aimed at getting the public to turn away from guns. So far despite best efforts of leftist politicians and their allies in the media, their propaganda has served mostly to scare the hell out of thinking Americans and prod them to buy More firearms. Obummer was the firearms industry's most effective salesman to date after Bill Clinton. I do not know where all of this will eventually lead, there are now more AR-15 platform rifles in the hands of the public than in the hands of our military, if that is any comfort. Media posturing aside, the 12.5 million AR-15 platform rifles are the least likely firearm to be used in a violent crime. You are more likely to be sitting on a stump and struck by lightning that to be shot with an AR. Rant over.

Most of the U.S. military is armed with the M4. There might be some Guard or Reserve units still with M16's but everybody will be armed with M4's eventually.
