Why do folks think these cars look good lowered ???????? Looks broken to me. Deduct 1K for wheels/ tires and to repair the suspension.

Sorry, but to DRIVE those Chryslers like they were designed to be driven, not always "cruised" or "profiled", they need suspension travel to handle dips and bumps "at speed" on the highways of America. Which is one of the enjoyable things about the Chrysler torsion bar/leaf spring suspension dynamics. Which made them a favorite of law enforcement operatives, back then. Especially as the natural cruising speed of our '66 Newport, with nothing more than a good set of tires and HD shocks, was 75-90mph. <70mph = "boring", 75mph = "lets keep doing this", from how the car felt. 90mph+ was on the downside of the torque curve with the 2.76/H78-14 combination, so things took more throttle input to happen. 90 was fast enough, generally. Of course, I matched the speed to the condition of the state/federal highways and prevailing traffic conditions. AND observed presence of "red-lighted vehicles"!

As good as similar GM and Ford products might have been in similar conditions, "the feel" was just not there.

Nice looking '65 Chrysler, just too low for my tastes. Yours' might vary, which I respect.
