After a pressure wash, it's cleaning up nicely! I still need to scrub it with soapy water, and then see how buffing the paint goes.

Thanks for that, I just entered the fender tag into an online decoder, that's what it gave me. The green vinyl inserts makes more sense. I'm pretty sure this is original paint on the car, though I found some receipts from 2007 in the glove box saying the under hood and trunk pan were repaired...

Pretty easy to change a valve cover, or perhaps the original engine was wrecked. Lots can happen in 60 years. Regardless, I think I'm going to leave the slant in it, as it is a pretty unique combo.
