I picked up this sweet old '77 Chrysler Town & Country wagon from a friend yesterday. It used to belong to my good friend Joe Pullen, but he sold it to a young couple I know a few years ago. They did some basic maintenance to it and just enjoyed it. They are moving and so the girl listed it for sale, but unfortunately the interest was in taking the engine and scrapping the car. She pulled the ad, and offered it to me for a smokin' deal. So I drove it home yesterday.
Best part of the drive was climbing Nanoose Hill (steep hill) on the drive back, passing everyone in the left lane doing 90 mph in a 5000 lb Chrysler haha.
It's got some neat options:
Auto lock tailgate, swings both ways
Fender mounted turn signals
AM/FM with 8 track (still works)
Power rear window, still works with the key in the door
Wheel skirts
Split bench seat with folding passenger side
Dash vents for heater
440/727
Spoiler
Plan is to do a few maintenance items such as fix an exhaust leak, probably weld some metal into the spare tire well, buff the paint, touch up the rust at the bottom, fix the drivers fender at the front, etc, and just daily drive it.
