What rear leafs will work on a ‘71 Newport Royal coupe?

I'll second the Detroit Eaton recommendation. They have their act together. They'll build you NEW springs to OEM specs.

    Replacement Leaf Springs Needed

Sorry for the red X, but that is not correct. Eaton Detroit is a "Mom and Pop" shop that makes replacement springs. The place itself isn't big enough. About - EATON Detroit Spring I don't have access to Dun & Bradstreet since I retired, or I could give you their numbers. (Employees, annual...

I have Eaton on one of my cars and ESPO springs on another. I think that either ESPO or Eaton are good choices. IMHO, it all comes down to price with shipping.

    La 318 engine advice

I'll have you know I did own a supercharged car... My '01 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP. It had a Eaton M90 supercharger on the 3.8 V6. You could put two 6-71 GMC superchargers on your early Hemi. And here's what one looks like on an original GMC engine, probably out of a school bus.

I got mine from eaton with a 1 inch lift. Love the ride and the way it sits.

What rear leafs will work on a ‘71 Newport Royal coupe?

Detroit Eaton may be faster, but more $$$. You might be able to find a shop that re-arches springs, but I'm not a fan, based on my own observations. One thing.... Be very careful of the offset shackles as they are impossible to find and no new ones exist. In fact, I'd just use a...

    1961-63 Stock ride height?

A way to know for sure that your '61-'63 Imperial has correct rear spring height, is to get a new pair of leaf springs from Eaton Detroit Springs. They have the exact specifications. All Imperial rear leaf springs eventually sag, in my experience, especially after 60 years. Previous owners...

    1966 Wagon C-Body Leaf Springs Spec's

...don't know where that got started, but they weren't the supplier for Chrysler. They are a "Mom and Pop" replacement spring shop. I think the "Eaton" name (name of the owners) gets confused with Eaton corporation, which probably did supply parts to Chrysler, although I don't know if they did...

Call Eaton Detroit Springs. +1 (313) 963-3839. They did all the Mopar Springs back in the day and have all the specs and can make them up for you. Also email quotes@eatondetroitspring.com They did my 1964 Chrysler 300 convertible springs last summer. Great reproduction. Chuck

    1961-63 Stock ride height?

That's actually my exact dilemma: I like the way the car sits now, visually. Looking at the eaton catalog, I'm trying to decide if I should go with stock springs (6 leaves), heavy duty springs (7 leaves), stock height, or 1" drop. (If I went with a drop, I'd probably use HD springs, because less...
