I see the following numbers on the bottom leaf;

2403651

it's 2 1/2 wide and has 7 leafs. Would any of you have a part number or spec's for a town & country?
Spring company books doesn't have town & country spec's - for some reason.....

Y-body? Town and Country? 1966?

1966 Town & Country waon was a C-body 122" wheelbase as similar Fury and Polara/Monao wagons.

"Y" was the sales code for Imparials in 1966, which were "D-body" vehicles.

What might be your ultimate goal? Just curious.

------------------------------------- Additionally . . .
www.eatondetroitspring.com indicates, for a 1966 Chrysler Town & Country 9-pass 440
ML4215 Std 7 leaf 2.500" wide Spring Rate 125lbs/inch Stk Ride Height
ML 587 HD 7 leaf 2.500" wide Spring Rate 150lbs/inch Stk Ride Height

Enjoy!

My mistake on the the Y-Body!
Thank you for the great info, the old ones are flat and need to be replaced.

Yes indeed, those are the part numbers I'm seeing.... hummmm
Your part numbers on the springs are for the assembly line parts. If you have a broadcast sheet, you'll see the last 2 or 3 digits of that part number in the appropriate box. You may even see those last digits stenciled on the springs when they were new.

So, if you have a broadcast sheet, see if it matches.

The part numbers in the parts catalog are for replacement parts. They may be different numbers or the same number. The parts may be the same or could possibly be updated or changed. Chrysler printed volumes of books showing superseded part numbers long after the original parts books were printed.

There was a lot of talk a few years ago about restoring cars with so-called "lunch box parts" which were NOS parts that had the assembly line part numbers. The story was they were parts that made it off the assembly line in guys' lunch boxes. In other words, stolen parts. The quest for perfection includes getting those same numbers and date codes.

One other thing that you have to consider. Your car is 59 years old. Does it really have the original springs?

They did all the Mopar Springs back in the day
I don't know where that got started, but they weren't the supplier for Chrysler. They are a "Mom and Pop" replacement spring shop. I think the "Eaton" name (name of the owners) gets confused with Eaton corporation, which probably did supply parts to Chrysler, although I don't know if they did leaf springs.

I'm not saying they are a bad supplier, just not an OEM supplier.

Big John. Good to know. They did a great job on my springs. They said they have all the specs for all Chrysler products.
I have Eaton on one of my cars and ESPO springs on another. I think that either ESPO or Eaton are good choices. IMHO, it all comes down to price with shipping.

Call Eaton Detroit Springs. +1 (313) 963-3839. They did all the Mopar Springs back in the day and have all the specs and can make them up for you. Also email quotes@eatondetroitspring.com
They did my 1964 Chrysler 300 convertible springs last summer. Great reproduction.
