Where to buy reco'd booster and what rear shocks are people using? All I see listed is Air Shocks from the 80's!!!

That must be recent as I installed KYB Gas Adjust rear shocks in my 69 Fury a few years ago.

    C-Body Wheel and Tire Survey

There KYB shocks, and the leaf springs on these vehicles are known to crack which they were so they were completely replaced them. Unfortunately they are a little stiff. I’m hoping with time will soften up. It also raised the rear end up a little bit as you can see, I also like that.

    Rear shocks

I have used KYB shocks on all my 1970-1971 C bodies. On my 1970 Chrysler 300, I have installed KYB Gas-a-Just KG4507 up front and KG5512 in the rear. Delighted with them, as I have been with the same ones on three 1970 Polaras and one 1971 Monaco. I have overall 15 or so thousands of miles on...

    Tire pressure?

So I guess the road feel is being transmitted to the steering wheel more by the tires? Or shocks?

Front and rear shock absorbers for my 57 Belvedere 301 v8?

...not gas charged they might not extend on their own. On the old ones I would move them in and out and see how the resistance feels. I e-mailed KYB and inquired why the front shocks were not compressed and strapped, below is their reply: Hello, Thank you for reaching out to us. I am happy to...

    Shocks for 72 C body

...being a 'band aid' for an overloaded or sagged suspension. Their bounce control is minimal.... Sadly for older cars, all the 'mass market' manufacturers have discontinued their upgraded shocks and only sell what is barely better than nothing. If at all possible, go with the KYB or Bilstein. B

    Shocks for 72 C body

...a 72 Newport? I prefer a firmer ride/better handling over a floaty ride. You can firm these old gals up and they still ride nice. Years ago I ran KYB on my 70 Polara . It had a host of other upgrades as well.Police torsion bars and F&R larger sway bars. Not looking to go that route this time...

Leaf Springs - Would you do it yourself?

...has some rust underneath than soak the shackle bolts with some PB Blaster for a few days... THE BEST BANG FOR YOUR BUCK PERIOD IS TO INSTALL SOME KYB (GRAY) SHOCKS! They will make the car ride & drive sooooooo much better!! I have many customer's mad they didn't have KYB'S on their car's...

    Rear shocks

KYB definitely gives better value for the dollar in general than anyone else. Be this as it may, for coil-over, heavy load shocks, the Monroes still do very well. I see Gabriel still competes with them, but I never have been too impressed with their wares, while Bilstein offers high...

    Is KYB "Losing It's Stuff?"

...deliberations! Probably go with the stoutest car Monroe shock and hope for the best. Otherwise, so many in here have had good experiences with KYBs, that might be a main option to me. At THIS point in time, it kind of seems that the USA brand shocks are probably the same items, just...

    Parts Advice for my DD

Just rebuilt the suspension on my ‘08 RAV4 last year and used KYB and Moog parts with great success. I’ve also used Mevotech in both the T Bird and the RAV4, and was also happy with them, although I don’t see that brand on your list.

    Imperial wheel help needed….

I like the Keystone Classics with the white wall. I agree with Cbody67 had to say. I installed the KYB Imperial size shocks on my Imperial, I also installed a Firm Feel front sway bar and those two adds made a huge difference in highway city driving. Call up Dick at Firm Feel he is making me...

    1972 Imperial Revival Thread

The longer KYB rear shocks KG5413 are correct for the Imperial. The listed shocks in catalogue are too short, then you have to watch the rear brake flex line it will be pulled tight. I used the 72 dodge pick up truck rear flex line.

Front and rear shock absorbers for my 57 Belvedere 301 v8?

The bottom of the front shock interferes with what? Is the through bolt sleeve too beefy and touches the frame so you can't get the bolt through?
