That must be recent as I installed KYB Gas Adjust rear shocks in my 69 Fury a few years ago.

There KYB shocks, and the leaf springs on these vehicles are known to crack which they were so they were completely replaced them. Unfortunately they are a little stiff. I’m hoping with time will soften up. It also raised the rear end up a little bit as you can see, I also like that.

Just rebuilt the suspension on my ‘08 RAV4 last year and used KYB and Moog parts with great success. I’ve also used Mevotech in both the T Bird and the RAV4, and was also happy with them, although I don’t see that brand on your list.

The longer KYB rear shocks KG5413 are correct for the Imperial. The listed shocks in catalogue are too short, then you have to watch the rear brake flex line it will be pulled tight. I used the 72 dodge pick up truck rear flex line.

The bottom of the front shock interferes with what? Is the through bolt sleeve too beefy and touches the frame so you can't get the bolt through?
