Finned Brake Drums Interchangable With Regular Drums?

I once bought a 68 Fury that someone put the finned drum on the right side. The lug nuts only caught half the thread. I promptly got the correct drum. If you use spacers you may have the same effect.

    16" steel wheels for '67 Fury 3

...these. The center hole on Ford wheels has always been slightly smaller than Chrysler. Sometimes you can carefully draw them on with the lug nuts and it will expand the hole to the proper size, and other times you need to run a die grinder around the hole a few times to open it up a bit. Jeff

...black ones). I have cracked many a chrome socket on an impact gun. Might as well get the deep sockets, they're useful for double duty on lug nuts. What are you working on today??

...studs work in the rotor. A friend has a Bridgeport and lathe, the studs where from my 68- a-100 that I changed to right hands. He had to turn them down slightly on the head and shank and then re knurled them. Only about a 1mm short thru the rotor, so that should not be a problem with the lug...

    Tire balancing question

...against me) and those type of wheels were always a problem. As stated earlier, the back side doesn't locate the wheel on the car, it is the lug nuts and studs. Can't get rear wheels on my 73 Fury ?!?!

The way I like to do this is loosen your rear lug nuts first while the car is on the ground, then jack up the rear under the rear axle pumpkin high enough to put 2 jack stands underneath each side of the frame rails just in front of the rear wheels. Then once the jack stands are in place lower...
