There was software that the company that I worked for for over 30 years, that was export controlled. Humans were involved in limiting the escape of algorithms, data, programming etc and just with that point, there’s always going to be an escape.

Question about '68 Monaco/Polara AM radio PN 2649965

Cars built at the Windsor plant destined to RHD export countries also have different radios based on part numbers.

Least equipped c body I've ever saw

Yeah, we (Canada) didn't have km/h anywhere on speedos that early, let alone as the dominant reading. This car was definitely meant for export.

    1968 Polara fender tag

Here's what a w/7 export punch looks like. Plus, the 11**** SO number tells us this is a car built for sale in the US.

Least equipped c body I've ever saw

Yet you didn't post the tag. With the 200 speedo, isn't that a export car? 69 tags always seem to be light. Just buy it tell after.

Can anyone with 68 fender tag expertise examine this 68 tag and tell me if top line under W is "built for export order"

...earlier in the thread and in the ad, I'll go with the VON starts with a B meaning it was built for sale in Canada, was not built as an 'export car' and sometime during it's life, the speedometer was changed. (That would actually be pretty easy to find out as the cluster would have a date code).

Fitment question re dog dishes and cop car wheels

OK - so the hub caps in my first picture look like a Dodge version of the "unknown export" Plymouth cap seen the the top row of your picture, and are not the same as the 2768007 cap in the 3rd row of your pic. The ones I'm inquiring about are smooth on their domes' sides and have a segmented...

Least equipped c body I've ever saw

The first three digits of the (seq # AKA the VON) will tell us if this car was destined for export or not. My gut feel is it was built for sale in the US and the speedometer was changed. I don't think the Windsor Plant built a lot of cars for export. You can post the numbers here or send me the...

    HELP! 1967 POLARA 500 440hp & 4speed PRODUCTION INFO (GALEN)

I just thought it would have been more useful to report 3-spd numbers instead of 4-spd. And I still think they must have sold more than 50 Polara's / Monaco's with the slant. The 100% in the V8 column I don't buy.

Catastrophic Rim Failure; Factory Original 14" Stamped Steel Rim

Shows **** like this CAN happen. Given the nature of this convertible, that it was an Export, meant for COLD CLIMATE, and in some small ways hastily slapped together for an order, I'm not utterly surprised that some Dealer or lower manager would have used bottom shelf wheels to get the order...

...Anytime you crunch numbers like this, you cannot get an exact number but you can get close approximations. It also matters whether Canada and Export cars are included in the data or only US sold cars. So in this case, the data tells us 'about', 'around' or 'approximately' 55 1967 Dodge full...

    318 4-barrel from the factory?

That's what I expected, why would they put a cool-guy decal on a 318. Although when I'm done tweaking on my 318, I'll probably find one of those decals. Nice finishing touch.

    318 4-barrel from the factory?

...Originally used in 1973-1974 on 340 (73), 360 high performance (74), 400 high performance, and 440 high performance. Except for earlier export versions, the 318 LA engine was first equipped with a four barrel in 1978, but did not have that decal. The reproductions are popularly used on other...
