    1969 Polara "Special Order"

I have seen the "certified" speedometer a bunch of times, but I can't say I've seen the zipper in the headliner before.

    Head Liner Color

The "white"/"ivory" head liners started with the later model cars of the 1990s and such. This allowed ONE headliner for a limited number of interior color choices (black/charcoal, tan or shale, for example). Unlike earlier cars which had MANY color choices and combinations. Usually, the...

    Wagon Headliner/Interior Paint

ELJ, over on ForBbodiesOnly, makes the white plastic retaining strips that snap in to hold the headliner sections in place. I had to trim them down to fit my B body wagon, so they are likely long enough to work for a C body wagon. Looking for Headliner, Plastic Stripes, Hold downs for 1968 wagon

    1969 Polara "Special Order"

That zipper was used to stash weed in the headliner when the cops busted the potheads back in the day. Poor stoners never saw it coming. Into the roof and off they went on their merry way!

    Headliner Install

One thing I added was small metal plate to the roof crossmember. On the 64 the dome light is only held in with the headliner. It now has a firmer attaching point. Do not know if others are this way.

    1969 Polara "Special Order"

Certified speedo. Zippered headliner to facilitate installation of roof-mounted light. Additional dome light near the inside rear view mirror. Police vehicles could be ordered with Slant 6s and 318s, "for administrative use vehicles", rather than freeway service where power and speed could be...

    Headliner Tear. What to do??

Anyone have luck repairing a headliner seam? Here's what happened, I was cleaning it up today and the threads in the seam right over the driver seat decided to pop. The headliner is in great shape otherwise and after I cleaned it, it looks great. I used my newly bought Tornador cleaning...

    1969 Polara "Special Order"

I spotted this in a local wrecker. The special order and certified speedo caught my eye as did the zipper in the headliner. Radio delete too, just a 318 car and rusted out badly. Police car or something else?

I hope this is not a repeat, but all 69 T&C had off white headliner panels. My parents bought a new one with a black interior, they were the off white color. Mark

    Emblem restoration 1966 300c

Do those emblems have cast studs with stamped nuts holding them on? Does the headliner need to be pulled back to get at the back of them? The emblems on my 66 could use a freshening, but the headliner has already been replaced. My car is tucked away so I can’t look at it so I was just curious...

    1969 Polara "Special Order"

Hi, I know this may sound nuts but if you can get that headliner with the Zippers out for me I would buy it. Not worried about the condition. Any odd or police trunk parts? Did the roof have a grommet for the light--to keep water out? thanks for any help--please pm me with a reply. Martin Kane

    1969 Polara "Special Order"

...no A38 on the fender tag means it's most likely a taxi or just a car somebody ordered for a business that needed an accurate speedometer. It has a roof light reinforcement so it may have holes in the roof for the light, the zipper could be a repair where they cut the headliner to patch the holes.
