New to me 78 NYB on its way but please Don't tell my wife

This company appears to be repopping them...good thing Mercedes used Auto Temp or we'd be royally screwed. Look under Climate Control- ACC I ACC Version I I think this may be for Autotemp I...I don't know if it translates directly over to Autotemp II.

    Someone school me on AutoTemp

Your best bet to understand the theory of operation would be to read the section in the FSM on standard air and then read the complete section on Auto temp. The auto temp was poorly designed and subject to repeated failures even when these systems were new. There were numerous problems with...

What I learned about 74-78 ATC II

I’ll wait a few days for some other faults to address but for now I’m done. I plan to start a new clean thread to be called: 74-78 AutoTemp II And transfer the text there. So, ok my editors, time for comments and suggestions. Javier.

For Sale 1971 NYer 4-dr hardtop ($11.5k in Des Moines, IA)

...the info I got, I am not sure that I remain interested. Here is the additional info I got to complement @Robert Saigh: The car has AutoTemp II, PW/PS/PL, tilt/telescoping wheel with rimblow and cruise control. --> The A/C does not work, but the rest of the system apparently does. The...

    Need some feed back.......

In other words, the AutoTemp II HVAC is broken. Read as much about ATC II as you can and if you still want it with its unknown mileage... The seller is over hyping the car by 100% at the least. DANA rear end is BS.

    SOLD 73 imperial

Yep you have the car I want. I'll trade and add cash! Or I could buy it outtite if you will sell it to me. I've been a mechanic all my life. Originality on the 69 I would throw out the window. I would build a monster 440 w/fuel injection, aftermarket air and duals. Beat a hot rod Lincoln any day...

73 Imperial "McGoldy" to join the Minnesota herd.

Will you be making all your autotemp II systems operable? I notice you still have the factory servo under the hood rather than the much more durable Performance Analysis ones that don't crack at the bottom and leak out all the coolant while you are driving down the road thinking all is...

    Airtemp II Help

I maintain that Autotemp II for the 1971-3 models, not 2.0 for the 1974 and later models, is the only one that is reasonably fixable.

Similar but not the same hardware. Formals have their amplifiers separate from the controller and both were placed inside as far as I can see with limited knowledge of both.

Tank was galvanized... everything else was overspray... I like your wheel a bunch, but I hope to never see another done. Some things I can only accept once. Back to our regularly scheduled broadcast... :thankyou:

Question on '71 300 for sale

Interesting that you bring up your family car. I also have one in the color combination you describe. The one I have does have quite few options though, including a factory sunroof. It is shown in the Mopar Sunroof Registry for our cars on a page with the following link...

...and out. If you are not really heavy and careful about how you enter the car, it could last a long time. That one still looks very nice. The autotemp II in my car still works just fine too after I replaced the control servo with the one from Performance Analysis when I got the car 10 years...

Identifying a 67 Imperial ATC car

...isn't a good sign either, since further iterations didn't seem to get any more reliable. I have been successsful only in getting the Autotemp II systems to work so far, but I really haven't tried hard to get an Autotemp 1 system to work, but it is probably doable with enough effort since...
