    SOLD 73 imperial

@saforwardlook, how would you rate the 1971 Imps in terms of reliability? They already had Autotemp II, if I read you correctly.

NOT MINE 72 Imperial 4 dr not mine

If the heater works, that is a good sign for the functioning of all the ATC components. But it does look like that car has an original heater control servo under the hood, but it is hard to be sure since I can't see the lower part of it very well. If it is an original servo, it won't last long...

Update from Quirey Quality Design on Washer Bottles for Fuselage Cars

I remember the first repop part I ever bought. It was 1984 and it was the "Hemi" emblem that attached to the deck lid for a '69 GTX project. I was promised that it was a "perfect match" to the original. What I got was this abysmal part that was about 15% smaller in every dimension. Obviously it...

AutoTemp II used in Mercedes? But you probably knew that..

Yes, Mercedes used Autotemp II...and thank goodness they did! Otherwise we would have no aftermarket support for these systems.

I know I have seen at least two Formals, both Canadian (of course) without AC. But I can't recall what models they were.

AutoTemp II - where do I begin?

Happy Sunday! It's a super hot and humid day here today, which got me thinking about the 73 T&C's A/C system. It's AutoTemp II...and wow does it look complicated. I'm not well-versed in all things AC, but am hoping that you can steer me in the right direction. I know I will not be using R12...

    Autotemp 2 upgrade

...with upgraded materials in the form of aluminum for the main body and base outlets, thus fixing the design deficiencies of the original Autotemp II factory units. The factory units were used up shortly after the systems had run their course since every car using one needed a new servo in...

Problem with temp cable Fury 73

In ‘72, the ac compressor should be off with the control pressed to “off”, with the standard ac system or with AutoTemp II. The auxiliary switch on the temp control is another way to turn off the ac in the standard system.

Looking for a mechanic knowledgeable in C bodies in the Los Angeles/SoCal area

For the 69 300 that apparently does not have autotemp 1 (you are very lucky because those systems usually can not be fixed) there could be an issue with the control switch behind the pushbuttons. I would think that would be a good place to start with a new or nos one. A competent technician...

Problem with temp cable Fury 73

I have to respectfully disagree with you. I have a ‘72 Imperial with AutoTemp II that I have rebuilt and it turns off the compressor in the “off” position, just as the FSM describes. I also do repairs on a friend and FCBO member’s non-ATC ‘72 New Yorker and it also turns the compressor off in...

...that all the Salons he's had all had ATC...which was very common on Formals in general. I find manual A/C is more rare on Formals than Autotemp II...at least it seems that way. The Salon package was an appearance package and the items in the package are described above, although they do a...
