NOT MINE '68 Fury - Claimed low mileage.

...I would need to get into the asking price neighborhood (which doesnt scare me, unless car's story don't hang together). I do (would) have a s*** ton of questions, again were I remotely a player here. :). Still a nice car. I do like it. I wish it well. Maybe someone here will check it out...

rebuilt 301 strobes at around 3k RPM or 40 mph

A kind of in and out vibration like somethings out of balance. I feel it in the steering wheel so it could be the power steering pump but I'm going to listen further today.

That "hole" is a manifold vac vac tap. Some GM applications used that location to run the power brake booster, in some model years. If your engine has the vac tap for the power brakes on an intake manifold runner, keep that and PLUG the hole in the carb with a supplied pipe plug in the bag of...

    Tight Budget

Nice. I'm sure you will get it worked out. It's amazing how much bad work is done on some of these cars.

That's the problem The EV2 car has rust, lots of it. The stub needs to be replaced, some floor, fender, lower quarter. If I recall correctly trunk pan and perhaps a rear frame rail is bad. It is the most valuable, loaded , 1 of 1 70 Convertible. I've known about this car for 24 years or so...

NOT MINE 3 ‘70 Polara Convertible Projects - Rose Bowl on FB

This would keep me busy in retirement. But where to store the other two when working on one? Then there’s the $80-$100K to bring them back to glory. It would be a hobby passion and not an investment. Doing it halfway is not in my vocabulary, so I would be sure to over do it. If the bodies...

Can you help a Small block Chevy guy understand a 1962 Chrysler 413 with cross-ram manifold? - compression and pump gas?

Fury Fan -- Regarding "But if you just bought the car, would you immediately tear down to the short block and send the heads off just to put hardened seats in?" Actually, I almost did. On the Vette, I had the engine completely rebuilt just a few months after I got it and on the ram-inducted '60...
