That’s a good start but he will likely need to get the motor/regulator assemblies on the bench so they can be seperated and cleaned thoroughly and re-greased. That includes getting inside the electric motor itself.
I have the complete rear axle with leaf spring assembly that I pulled from the 1966 convertible and it does not have these isolators. They are definitely 1967, 1968 and I would be willing to bet. Also used in 1969 and possibly later.
Well I was hoping to get away with a light hone and new rings but it looks like I’m buying pistons…:mad:
Otherwise everything looks great, the crank just needed a polish and will stay std/std for bearings.
