That’s an awesome blue plate to have!

This rubber trunk mat available for my 57 Belvedere?

Los Angeles built cars have that data plate.

This rubber trunk mat available for my 57 Belvedere?

On cars with a rear defrost and rear speaker, the speaker would go on one side and the air intake for the defrost on the other so they’d match. There’s a small slit right near the glass where the defrost vent would be mounted. If you had only defrost the air intake would be in the middle. Or if...

This rubber trunk mat available for my 57 Belvedere?

Also you hardly ever see the Burgundy color. One of my favorites for ‘57. Neat to see one still out there!

This rubber trunk mat available for my 57 Belvedere?

This is what the original 1957-1959 Plymouth trunk mats looked like. I found this one in a junkyard and it’s now in my ‘58 Fury after a good cleaning. I’ve managed to find a few others over the years that weren’t hard and brittle but the majority of them just crumble if you try and move them.

This rubber trunk mat available for my 57 Belvedere?

They are not available. At one point a person reproduced them like a decade ago. They were slightly thicker and people complained about it so he destroyed the molds apparently. Your only options are one of the typical printed trunk mat patterns found in other cars cut to this shape or using a...

    1958 Plymouth Belvedere

Are you sure you’ve gotten the serial number down correctly? I’m going to say this car IS a Belvedere. Is the serial number spot welded to the pillar properly? If it has screws or rivers…. I guess someone could have swapped serial numbers at some point.

    1958 Plymouth Belvedere

Another thing to check is the body tag if it has one… under the hood on the firewall. Look for the paint code. If it was a factory aluminum sportone car it would have code JJ3 most likely. Arctic Turquoise Roof and Body and the 3 means aluminum sportone insert. The color is probably Arctic...

    1958 Plymouth Belvedere

I saw this car listed a few weeks back and given the terrible ad and photos I figured it was a scam. Guess it wasn’t! It could very easily be a Plaza converted to a Belvedere trim level. Plazas could be ordered with any of the options that car has. The serial number is not likely to be wrong…...

    1962 Chrysler Newport windshield gaskets

It doesn’t matter because you can’t even get a roll of gasket or a reproduction molded one. So it’s a moot point. But what’s the difference? The original is molded to sit right in the windshield frame. There’s no glueing or risk of the joint failing or bunching of the rubber in corners. Yes...

    1962 Chrysler Newport windshield gaskets

Any of those “buy by the foot” gaskets suck. You’re better off buying a good original that’s actually molded to fit the corners and work properly.

    1962 Chrysler Newport windshield gaskets

Nobody makes new gaskets. You have to reuse your original or find a good used one off another car. The gaskets unlock and the glass is removed. 1960-1964 full size MoPar all use the same front windshield gasket regardless of body style. There are several different types of rear glass openings...

    1970 Fury I stripper!

That engine might just be rust colored. Pretty sure slant sixes were blue starting in 1969. 1968 and back were red minus the early years which had silver and turquoise in the mix.

    1970 Fury I stripper!

I saw this car when it first listed. I’m going to be in Cincinnati this weekend so I was going to get it. The guy wouldn’t take any deposit or payment unless in person. But he also wouldn’t hold it. So needless to say I just watched as it started getting posted on various sites and then sold...

SOLD 1971 Plymouth Fury III 4dr Sedan, 383, Disc Brakes. North Carolina

Someone removed the trim and put sealer around the glass. I’d assume because it was leaking. There’s no issues with the lower quarters and I don’t have a photo of it at the moment. If someone is truly interested in the car I can take photos that they desire .

SOLD 1971 Plymouth Fury III 4dr Sedan, 383, Disc Brakes. North Carolina

I’m listing my ‘71 Fury for sale. 383 2bbl, Automatic, PS, PB, Disc brakes, A/C and more. Body tag photo provided for your decoding pleasure. The 383 runs nice and doesn’t smoke or leak. Odometer reads 7900 miles but I’d assume it has rolled over . Transmission goes into gear crisp and the car...
