Radiator Hoses for 1966 Fury, 383, factory AC, 26" radiator

If any of you can, please send a pic of engine looking down at upper hose. I've had the same problem with my '66 Polara 383. It's non-AC, and the the upper hose is on the passenger side (not center like original ones I've seen). It's not the original radiator, was replaced with a 26" Chrysler...

Water pump replacement & cooling system checklist

Thanks CBODY67, I had a friend ask me about the core plugs as well. I'm going to hold off on that for now but definitely replacing the pump. Radiator and fan seem fine, but will definitely keep your comments on hand if that changes. Thanks

Water pump replacement & cooling system checklist

I always appreciate reading the informed feedback from this site. Question regarding cooling system maintenance... while replacing coolant, thermostat, water pump and hoses, would you go ahead and remove the water pump housing and replace those gaskets while you're most of the way there? I'm...

Exactly What Wheels & Tires Fit C Bodies?

Appreciate that, and have been feeling a bit uneasy lately after I realized how fast 6 years has passed since I bought it and the small margin of error where I live. Will get this done this month, a cheap form of insurance and peace of mind!

Exactly What Wheels & Tires Fit C Bodies?

Need to buy tires for my '66 Polara 500 Convertible (383) and would appreciate experienced input. Car runs well, but will need work on interior, top, paint, etc., so just try to drive it when possible to keep everything working until I can take care of that. Current tires are BF Goodrich...

Love it, you did well my man! Unique & beautiful shade of green, impressive brightwork, and as mentioned previously keep that great dual snorkel. My good friend and college roommate had this same era Fury in a 4 door. Great all around vehicle. Congrats!

It´s time for the Slab picture thread

SGVert, great pics. Do you mind passing on info on paints used for various engine bay parts, and any general tips you have. Yours looks great. Photo of mine attached. Red paint a mystery, looks like it's been on there awhile, but I've seen blue underneath where chipping.

Detailing Engine Mopar Turquoise - Specifically

Definitely will cbarge, and that's a plausible explanation, as is 68PK21 440.6bbl's. The possibilities are endless in a high production factory back then, or thereafter!

Detailing Engine Mopar Turquoise - Specifically

Thanks to all for the info. The 383 engine is red on my 1966. After reading articles that the standard for Mopar big blocks in 60's was turquoise, I thought mine could have been repainted, but doubted that due to the naturally aged look. Davea Lux comments (1/4/19) explain that red blocks were...

Removing Steer Wheel - 1965 Plymouth Sport Fury

Do anyone have tips on removing the horn cap and ring? I have a '66 Polara 500, and want to get the horn to work (horn itself works, tested with wire from battery). The service manual says to press down and turn about 1/4 turn left. This thing will not budge, even with help from a friend...

Great job TWR - I've got nearly the same vehicle, except my interior is solid black vinyl. You've given me renewed energy to restart my efforts, as it's currently sitting in a shop 30 minutes away after a new wiring harness. May contact you for further info, thanks again for sharing the pics.
