    67 Fury 440 Engine Problems

Normally when running out of fuel, motor just loses power. DAMHIK. I have never seen it cause carb backfires. I have never seen a bad coil do that either, but I suppose it can. My experience with bad coils when the work they are fine then with heat engine just dies. Restarts after coiled...

    67 Fury 440 Engine Problems

I spoke with the step dad last night and he is going to check the coil. The fuel lines are not close to the headers and the plug wires have heat shields at the plug ends. Checking the fuel pump pushrod is a good idea. FYI, the engine can't have more than 300 - 500 miles on it.

    67 Fury 440 Engine Problems

I would be verifying timing. First check that the pointer is accurate. The timing could be set way different than you think. To cover all bases, make sure the wires on are the correct spark plugs. Then I would degree the cam to make sure the timing chain did not jump. Really sounds like...

    Question on different RV sealants

I'm HOPING you used the paper gaskets, too! Otherwise, you've just glued the timing cover and possibly the water pump to the block! Do a skin coat on the paper gaskets, all sides, let it cure for a day, then install as normal. As to the sealer, I used the black high-heat sealer. I like it as...

    67 Fury 440 Engine Problems

Fuel air and spark.. we need not over complicate a simplistic system.. have step dad run compression test, are all holes within 10% of each other? Is coil putting out good hot spark? are fuel lines and pump flowing steady and no restriction, is fuel pump push rod to short. You keep referring to...

    What is your daily driver?

Been a year since this post and ours have changed up. My 97 wrangler has been in another state for a year and I’ve parked the 82 d250 in favor of a 71 d100 as dump beater. I’m dailying an 18 jeep jku rubicon recon that I picked up in August. The wife wasn’t feelin the Durango r/t, so we sold it...

    My neighbor ruined my plans

He turns away 70% of the inquiries. He says he’s understaffed. Offered me a job at $22.50… and no health insurance. I can see why.

    Question on different RV sealants

Youll likely do fine with the black. They are all very similar with the following nuances; Toughness, blue, then black, then grey is the toughest after setting up. Ford used to build about the whole motor with the grey stuff. I have found it to be a real problem solver. The red is high...
