That's what I was thinking. Instead it makes a right turn at the floor and then goes laterally for about 1" each side. These are all OEM materials installed back in the same locations...
I added dynamat to the floors so they raised up very slightly slightly to meet the console just a tad...
I am looking for some of your console pics, installed in car.
In particular, I am curious as to how the carpet glued onto the sides at the front drapes down and over the floor carpet....
Just finish the "resto" on mine...
Definitely an Eldorado. I checked the original photo and the script is there. I didn't take any interior shots, but I took a close-up of the Diamond back tires, link: Let's see your original tires
Test photo. Same camera, same photos for me. Sent to computer then uploaded from computer to the site by dragging into message box.
I always download from my phone as a jpeg (about 1mb ea). The raw files are about 3mb each.
But I thought the site automatically downsizes images no matter what...
Dang, cheaper then getting a car shipped on land from MT to here.
Don't forget the time cost of shipping across the Atlantic. And hopefully the "Houthis" (or whatever the current "bad guy" fad is) aren't yet operating up that far north.
"Good things come to those who wait"
Awesome find David and well-deserved. This car has lucked out with its new caretaker.
Using the phrase "power bulge" in describing the hood might have been intentional too....lol.
Thanks for the reminder! Ah, and I had even commented on that thread too. I'm losing it. :p
A side note RE: the Anchor mounts I talked about in that thread - they were still holding good when I sold the car in the summer of '22, with approx. 50k miles on them. And haven't heard of a breakage...
What's up with the above mentioned "Mity mounts" - engineering wise? Better rubber than the chicom equivalents available at nappa? Considering how much of a biotch they are to replace, I'll gladly pay 10x to never replace them again.
How to Spot Dye — Rit Dye
Out of curiosity I just looked it up. Rit recommends the above approach for carpet. However, the type of material of the carpet may present a challenge. Is it polyester?
From their FAQ:
Can I dye carpet?
We do not recommend dyeing carpet in your home. Carpet dyeing...
What's stock compression on a '72?
The '73 was about 8:1 I think. I had similar plans to bump that up with different pistons had I kept the car.
Never researched cams to know what an "RV" type of grind does. Overall better breathing I guess...?
Good to hear, last time I checked they were out of stock, but looks like they have them now.
I have OEM hangers but I need the bottom wire clamp, figured that I could make one....
