I have another photo of km-speedos on my harddisk, just for comparison (maybe they are from FCBO, i don´t know):
Miles:
metric:
the metric-scale seems to have been mounted over the mph-scale, nowadays there is an adhesive scale for that...
The vinyl is my eyesore and the next project. But I'm afraid of the mouldings and what I'll discover under the vinyl.

Funny how I ran into this post as well, very relatable, the parking lock cable is SEIZED onto the jamb nut located on the park cable casing.
And someone has used JB weld on the cable to the case, making the conventional removal of the lock cable impossible.
In turn I somehow managed to...
CS41T3C297658 is your 1973 New Yorker Brougham (NYB for short). Here is what the codes on the fender tag mean; @69CoronetRT can correct me if there is any mistake. @cuda hunter -- the paint is B9, not B8 (but the interior is B8):
E85: 440 cid 4 barrel V8 350hp

Great write up sir!
Didn't think the TC and the fluid inside could act like a shock absorber, the more you know.
In the meantime, I suppose I'll wrestle the original Flexplate off of the crank and see if I can use that instead of the new Flexplate, if so that'll be great, just hoping the...
Remove all the freeze plugs from the block then scrape the crud out of the water jackets with a coat hanger rinse it out with a garden hose. Rinse out the radiator and heater core so no antifreeze left in them. Install all new freeze plugs. Use thermo cure from evaporatorust. fill the...
I pulled the trigger and ordered it. When it gets here we'll see if the mounting holes line up, if the plunger thing's loop on the end is the right diameter for the brake pedal mounting bolt, and whether the brake pedal ends up in the right position. If these stars align, woo hoo! Thanks for...
Have you turned the flywheel by hand?
The bearings are probably still clean.
The carbs and fuel pump are easy to clean and get sorted.
The water pump is toast.
Do you know if the plunger thing connecting to the brake pedal on your New Yorker connects straight to the pedal, or is there a linkage thing? What a great car to have.
I took the old one out of the car and gave it to an auto parts store for their inclusion in the weekly pickup of all the cores collected during the week for rebuilding. I had bought my wrong one online and the cost of shipping it to the seller was way more than the core charge. I couldn't see...
MANY radiator companies have a section in the back of the catalog with radiator specs and images of each of the part numbers they sell. Look THERE and see what their listed part number really is. Go from there.

Thanks for the info. The transom and everything about the boat is solid. If they used it, it wasn't much. I just don't know if the motor will have issues from sitting for so many years.
If I wanted an easy inexpensive boat to get out on a small lake, I would offer $2500 and hope the motor was good and the transom was solid.
Chrysler 55's are/were good motors. They are the simplest of the simple.
That boat will not be an easy resell when the times comes unless it runs like new...
The early 69 Polaras had a simple side trim with no bumper, later one had the bumper. The bumpers were available in different colors, Black Blue, Green and Red..
The factory ones had a blunt point on the front and square on the rear.
The placement on the car looks to match factory.

The hardest parts to locate will be for the engine.
Otherwise it appears to be complete
With Chrysler boats, the more complete the better.
Even has the correct trailer!
4500.. would be my guess.
They do have a cult following and there is a web site that supports Chrysler boats.
Welcome to the...
