New Article: 1960 Dodge Dart vs. Competing Low-Priced Cars--Who Wins?

One significant engineering design feature on the Fords and Chevrolets is the front windshield reverse A pillar that has a distinct tendency to allow those cars to fold up on themselves in a front collision. Dodge didn't see fit to offer that deadly mistake. Something to think about if a person...

Hey all, new to wrenching, total greenhorn

Try to turn it by hand, if it does, continue. Check the oil level, Remove (cut) 2 fuel hoses from the fuel pump, Cut "all" the old belts off, Put a started and battery in it with good connections of any type, Put the trans in park, do not set the foot operated parking brake, Spray a few squirts...

Hey all, new to wrenching, total greenhorn

Well: That's a tall order depending on how long it has been sitting in the field. 6 months? 6 years? I am no expert but, first I would make sure the motor is not stuck. See if it turns over by hand. Then you need to get some clean fuel in a remote tank, (maybe an outboard motor tank or similar)...

My question is does anyone have or know where to get a replacement door glass for it. I am not well versed on the Forward Look cars I need help on this...

Loosing the torsion bars and replacing the shocks with coil overs?

In one respect, it should be remembered that when the basic architecture was designed, probably in the middle 1950s, NONE of those issues were considered OR even existed back then. Back then, too, "ride height" was approx 1/2 of total wheel travel, which was usually about 6" or a bit more...

What are you working on today??

Very nice. I too need drink holders. But I did paint the faded black wheels a shiny new black today. The plan is to use chrome acorn wheel nuts on the new black painted wheels and call it good. Today's home alignment job is a huge success.
