Does a tightly shaking vacuum gauge REALLY mean an ignition problem? Chasing my tail.

I once witnessed a sticking valve free up on a 400 cuin. Ford by putting 1 quart of transmission fluid in the engine oil. It may not have been sticking real bad as I was surprised at how fast it cleared up.

Does a tightly shaking vacuum gauge REALLY mean an ignition problem? Chasing my tail.

Been running ethanol blended fuel in vehicles as old as 1938 with several rebuilt engines in the bunch as well as small and medium equipment and only had two instances where the fuel might have been a problem. 1) An Echo string trimmer that after using it for 20 years the grommet going into the...

LOL, two tanks full of non-ethanol gas is some kind of magic potion?

Thoughts on the value of a 1959 Dodge Coronet?

LOL, I remember seeing your ad for that car somewhere. It was another ad I kept going back to but then telling my self Don't do it, Don't do it, Don't do it. I had one project going at the time and really didn't want to bring home another. That was a shame it wouldn't sell, what a low cost way...

On those eyebrow dividers you sold any 57-58 Dodge I owned never had what I assume were holes through for mounting screws. Do you know why the difference?

Thoughts on the value of a 1959 Dodge Coronet?

I'm not familiar with the 2 doors but I think in the photo of the 59 Dodge wagon I see a Plymouth Fury (?).

Thoughts on the value of a 1959 Dodge Coronet?

I feel the 57-58's are more popular than the 59's but would never turn down a 59. Owning and having owned 57-58 in both Dodge and Plymouth I guess one could say I'm biased.

Thoughts on the value of a 1959 Dodge Coronet?

This past year there were a 57, both a Dodge and a Plymouth projects , different sellers, I think one was a four door and one was a two door for sale on Craiglist's that were sort of close to me that the asking price was far closer to the prices I've mentioned. The pictures were plenty and at...

Thoughts on the value of a 1959 Dodge Coronet?

If it runs and the interior is more than bare seat frames that is a good price. I should also say if it has a clear title too.

Thoughts on the value of a 1959 Dodge Coronet?

Ad says price reduced to $8900. Running, driving with what looks like a very nice interior is not the condition of a vehicle the OP is describing in the first post.

Thoughts on the value of a 1959 Dodge Coronet?

I would say both for me. I prefer 4 doors so I don't put a premium price on a 2 door. That's just what I would pay.

Thoughts on the value of a 1959 Dodge Coronet?

Myself, I wouldn't pay more than $2500.00 with the above work needed.

65 Imperial with a 413 CI that cranks but won't start

If the points aren't opening he wouldn't have any spark. How to tell if distributor points are bad? First check for power to the coil. If you have 12v there, then manually open the points and check for spark from the coil. If no spark, remove the wire from the points and manually "spark" it...
