Hey C-bodiers! Anyone know a set of headers that will work with my '71 Newport w/angle plug heads? It is a 496 Stroker and isn't breathing well.It has stock exhaust manifolds. Would HP manifolds be as good as headers? Does anyone have anything for sale?

Hey guys and gals!I just got a 71 Newport Custom 4dr. It has a 496 Stroker with built racing trans. 410 Posi. The motor seems to be detonating when stabbing the throttle at cruising speed(2k rpms). The car came with an 800 cfm edelbrock. Is this enough carb? Could it be a timing problem?
