    Door Adjustment

The drivers door on my '58 Imperial doesn't close right. It actually binds a bit and doesn't close flush with the 1/4 panel as it should. I want to make some adjustments and want to know what I can loosen easily and shift slightly to get a better fit. Can all the strikers, latches and hinges be...

Does anyone make a remote master cylinder reservoir kit for use with the original single pot master cylinders used in 57-62 Mopars?

Not a "hesitation" but more of a "stumble"...

So, after doing some work on my '58 Imperial, I'm getting a weird stumble at times when driving it. It's kind of hard to describe it. The car idles great, and also accelerates great from or stop or while kicking down the transmission in passing gear. However, occasionally it stumbles, mostly...

    Acceleration vibration on '58 Imperial

I just recently got my '58 Imperial back from the shop to do some ignition and brake work. It now has a vibration and "thumping" on moderate to hard acceleration, mainly from a stop. It sounds like it is from the drive shaft, possibly hitting the floor. It smooths out when letting off the gas...

Front End Alignment for '58 Imperial

I'm looking to get a front end alignment for my '58 Imperial. I am installing new wide whitewall radial tires and would like to know if I should have different specs on the alignment because of radials.

    Ignition Switch for 1958 Imperial

What type of switch is used on 1958 Imperial models? It is a kind with 3 screw posts in the back or 4? Does it connect to the dash with a screw bezel or a set screw in the back? Does anyone have a part number? -Gregg B.

Horn constantly staying on when key is turned on.

On my '58 Imperial, I managed to get 2 of the 3 horns working. However, they were constantly staying on when the key was turned on. I thought it originally was the relay, so I bought a new one. Still constantly on horn. Next I looked at the switch in the steering wheel. I removed it and checked...

    Carlisle 2025

Anyone going to Carlisle this year that lives near or will be going through Minneapolis? I can't go myself, but I'm looking to return a couple brake drums to a vendor that will be there.

    Rear Speakers

Has anyone installed rear speakers in a '57-'59 Imperial? I assume the openings in the rear deck behind the seats are made to accept 6x9's, but not sure. It looks like I may have to do some cutting on the cover to be able to hear the speakers as well.

    Horn repair

Has anyone here ever tried to repair a horn? It's a large Autolite out of a '58 Imperial. I would like to get this original horn back in working condition, like the other 2 in the car. Are there any repair shops that do it?

    1958 Trunk and glovebox keys

Does anyone know if the trunk key is exactly the same as the one for the glovebox for '58 Mopars? I mean EXACTLY... not like some older GM cars where the glovebox only uses half of the length of the trunk key. What I am trying to do is get a key made off the glovebox lock, in hopes of it working...

    Oval air filter part numbers

Does anyone have the WIX or NAPA Gold part numbers for the 1958 or 1959 Dual quad oval air cleaner elements? Are they different part numbers for 1958 and 1959? I ask because I have come up with varying results looking online. -Gregg B.

Bake booster to Vacuum canister hose size.

Can anyone tell me the size of the vacuum hose between the brake booster and the vacuum canister, as well as the hose between the manifold and the canister? This is on a 1958 Imperial. -Gregg B.

    Outside Remote mirrors in 1958?

Did Mopar cars even have a remote outside mirror in 1958? While doing some research, I cannot confirm this. It looks like the remote outside drivers funder-mount mirror did not debut until 1959 (fall of '58 for '59 models). -Gregg B.

'58 Imperial Wire Wheels and Tires

I'm looking for a set of wire wheels and tires for a stock '58 Imperial. The wire wheels would be the classic-looking Chrysler style wire wheels with spinners. I'm thinking getting 15", even though the original wheels are 14". Or, is that a bad idea? Also, I may want to go with a new modern...

    Original Carter to Edelbrock AVS2

Car is a '68 Imperial with a 440. Instead or rebuilding the original carb, I decided to change to an Edelbrock AVS2. I believe I have everything set up correctly, as it runs and idles great. I still have to hook up the electric choke, but I will try to find a place at the fuse box under the...
