I guess what I really want is a distributor made here in the U.S don't want any Chinese stuff. The one I have has seen better days ,I know you guys have alot more experience then i do ,I respect your opinion. Again I have a bone stock 318 rebuilt with 2000 miles. Appreciate your advice.

I bought the car in 87 with the distributor that's in it. I'm not sure how to tell if it's a conversation or not.

I'm a cruiser no hot rod.

It's just old some slop, would like to put in a newer one, maybe better quality.

Does anyone know where these two wires go. One is red with a gold stripe the other is just plain Red. By looking myself I really couldn't tell where they went wrapped in a bundle. Thanks in advance for any advice. I guess I should have said these wires are behind the ashtray.
