Here is a short video of me driving my 57. I recently installed some beefier springs, new shocks, and a new master cylinder.

I finished painting the windshield channel with rust converter paint. Looks pretty good and should stop any rusting for a long time. I also got new tires mounted on the original wheels. Boy does that look good with the wheel covers. She is getting close to being road legal.

I started the cleaning and painting job on the windshield channel. I wired wheeled all the loose rust and then began hitting it with black rust converter paint. I also finally got nee tires for the car and it looks super cool with those hubcaps.

I popped off a valve cover just to see how the inside of the engine looked, surprisingly not sludgy like I was expecting. The valve cover gasket came apart like brittle plastic so I have some cork ones on order.

Here are some pictures of the window channel. What do you all recommend I do to stop the rust? Rust converter? POR15? The gasket looks to be in decent shape so I’m going to clean it, use Goop hand cleaner to rejuvenate the rubber. I also plan on cleaning and repainting the dash and inner window...

It has just the right patina, it will look great with some buffing. I will be redoing the interior with new seat covers and homemade door panels. The carpet and headliner are presentable.

I was able to fit the 73 Coronet spindles onto the 57 balljoints with no problems. They bolted together like is was made for the car. I did have to cut off the old steering stop on the strut rod, and everything fit perfectly. I rebuilt the calipers and got new rotors and pads. Then I was able to...

I was able to get a new (used) windshield from John at Big M to replace the broken windshield. Now John told me to clean and put the old seal in hot water, then to soak it in a bag with GoJo hand soap. He says that will restore the rubber and make it reusable, anyone done anything like this?

The suspension on the 73 Coronet was similar in design to the 57, so I think it will work. If not I have another set of spindles I can try. Dylan McCool on YouTube did a similar swap on his 58 Plymouth from a 5th Avenue.

I was able to get a fuel pump from O'Reillys and now the engine can pump its own fuel. I also hosed the carb out with carb cleaner. When running it sounds pretty good, it's surprisingly quiet. I'll see if I can post a video here, otherwise check out my Instagram @alecs_automotive_adventures.

Anyone know what fuel pump this is and where I can find a replacement? And will a fuel pump from an LA engine work?

I’m hoping someone can help me with this, neither of my rear doors will latch shut. I don’t know anything about how these door mechanisms work, there is a small gear/wheel on the doors that spin freely. I’m assuming these are supposed to hold the door shut but I don’t know for certain. Any help...

Those mirrors are the cheesy plastic "universal" mirrors that you see at the parts store. I would like to find some original mirrors or some that fit the look of the car. I have seen a few of those commercials on YouTube. I'm very excited to dig into this car.

I did not know you could customize the car that much! I figured it was some super low trim base model considering it has manual everything, no radio, 3 on the tree. Did these cars come with fender tags? I’m not used to mopars this old.
