I was referring to Mopar ATF +4, as stated in other post, and yes F in a Ford type, and so is Mercon and Dexron is GM.

I was told basically same from an old timer that says he grew up on 727 trans. Dextron Mercon is fine for normal driveing, if you hot rod often use the Mopar F.

I agree also. I have no trouble at all starting with points and it hasn't let me down yet. As Commando says, match book to set them, and old school, set plugs with a dime. I was toying with the Petronix, but gave that idea up long ago.

I got mine at O'Reilly, My arms were fine and got refills that they had. They tried to sell me replacement arm that were plastic and black and looked like hell compared to the metal arms. Get refills and have them look, sure they were Trilco.
