    Do some work, finally:

I know it's not comfortable working outside, but I manage in short time periods, doing a little at a time.It helps to get a tarp so you can deflect being in the direct sunlight. Also get a fan,it'll help cool you down a bit, even though it's outside the movement of the air will help with this 100%...

66 fury III 2 door hardtop needs a front end

There are lots of guys that do portable soda blasting now and they will come right to your door. It's non-toxic so it can be done right in your yard or driveway and can probably be done in less than an hour giving you a clean factory metal finish. If you've ever seen something soda blasted it's...

Yeah, even Walmart sells that aircraft paint stripper.Better to strip the paint off the front end while the nose is off the car, makes it easier.

Yeah, all it takes is a leak in the fuel line going to the carb. This was damage due to the previous owner.Cleaned it up and got her running again and you'd never know it happened.

For Those of You With $1800 burning a hole in your pocket.

Guys that own rare cars like a 57 Ghia would pay a fortune for something like that.I've known guys that have own 57-58 Cadillac Broughams and paid a ton of money just for some of the optional accessories like the perfume bottles and wine glasses. When you own a limited production car having a...

B body gas tank, in a c body?

Between the pump and the carburetor but it's also a good idea to place one under the car between the tank and the pump for added measure.

    Another one with painted bumpers

Looks like a mish-mosh! Paint is shinny on top surfaces but satin on sides. Not a fan of scallops and that green top looks horrible, would have looked much better with a white top.Painted bumpers are ok but car would probably look alot better painted one solid color.

    Another local gem for sale

If only I were closer. It appears to be pretty solid.I'd inquire about what TLC it really needs but overall,it's hard to find a decent wagon from this era without paying a fortune.Lots of guys are after wagons nowadays.A solid body is a good start, everything else can be rebuilt/restored.

The story of my 1966 Polara, "El Cacharro", in several posts

I can remember my father buying a brand new 77 Volare wagon and having it recalled within 2 years due to the tops of the fenders rotting out.I guess they managed to use some of that Chinese sheetmetal that GM had left over back in the mid-70's
