    Big John, I am installing a trio of real gauges and wanted to do the bypass surgery at the same time. Thanks for your insight. My ammeter on my 71 Newport barely deflects at all whereas the one on the 70 vert goes from peg to peg almost... Cheers.

    Senator, Thank you for that diagram... I'm a show me kinda guy. I like it cuz it's simple. But why keep the red wire at all? Are there some other connections? I need to get my FSM out and do some studying. GregC

    Yep cool car... the last I saw of mine it was headed to Alberta with 3 crazy Albertans :-) driving her... Mine was originally a 318 car, but I detailed a 383 to replace that... no superlite but I still have an NOS grill.

    Front end kits

    I took my time and put disk brake conversion all on at the same time. Now that was a serious undertaking. Full front end kit was from PST, arrived super fast and complete (minus the cotter pins as mentioned above :-) fit great. Can't get the brakes to feel good though, still must be missing...
