Anyone sell new windshields for 69 Polara?

I understand his position completely. He might not want the extra work of repairing the channel either. I don't know how much work you're having done, but if it's not done right it won't last long. I'd look around for a reputable glass shop to remove and replace the windshield at the body...

NOT MINE 1972 Dodge monaco sport coupe R/T $4,500

That's because there isn't. There also is no "sport" Monaco. That's why "there's very limited information on this body style." Looking at the pictures hurt my eyes, reading the message made me chuckle, so it evens out. I'm going to Google 1972 Dodge Monaco sport R/T in a week to see if the ai...

Anyone sell new windshields for 69 Polara?

You may be able to mangle the two tops ones off, however to get them on properly you have to go in the reverse sequence I described for removal. The two tops go on first, sides second and lastly bottom. The sides also need to come off to do the vinyl roof correctly. The question then is, why...

    Greetings, various restoration issues

You found it! Nothing broken or rusted off, just the factory stamping. The one I had problems with had two smaller notches similar to the one on your car. Let us know how it goes.

Anyone sell new windshields for 69 Polara?

Heat (unless extreme) won't help if it is silicone. Urethane will respond to heat. Trouble is getting to the clips covered in whatever it is. The bottom trim is screwed on, no clips, so that's the first one to come off. Might need an exacto blade going straight down to cut the gunk out. Then...

WANTED 1970 Newport 2D Coupe - rear bumper

Nice car and happy holidays! Two doors and four doors share the same bumper. Also worth noting is that you have the "standard" rear bumper. Newport customs have an extra little insert between the taillights, it'll fit just the same, just won't be 100% correct, if that matters. Also, 1971 will...

Anyone sell new windshields for 69 Polara?

Body guys aren't necessarily glass guys. If your current windshield is good, an experienced glass guy should be able to remove it without damage. When I did glass I was called to a few body shops to do glass removals and later installations. Might be worth a call? And depending on the severity...

Coolest thing(s) I've seen in awhile.

The Imperial flower car! I remember discussing this car or one very similar on this forum with one of the gentleman that worked at the shop that did the conversion. That would have been about two or three years ago. As I recall, it was a four door before the conversion. The wheelbase and...

Thank you for that. Not sure what the point of posting the "bid to" but didn't sell price would be. The pictures do lack the red "sold" box that I've seen on other auction sites.

1970 Plymouth Cuda AAR Tribute Lithia Springs, Georgia - Hemmings https://share.google/ZkXw4elPf7EGO1Rg1 Even if it's a clone that price just doesn't make sense. I know asking and getting are two different things, but the Hemmings listing is more along the lines of what I'd consider a...

    1971 Imperial & 1970-1971 HP Exhaust Manifolds

That does make sense. I just remembered there is a difference, even with the type of power antenna and there is a bit more length behind the wheel arch and door.

    1971 Imperial & 1970-1971 HP Exhaust Manifolds

The Imperial has a specific subframe, front fenders and hood. They are 3-5 inches longer than "regular Chryslers." The actual body of the car is the same. Waldron could probably make what you require, or provide extensions for the front pipes.

    Greetings, various restoration issues

It's a 1970 Chrysler Newport convertible. Water won't really "pour" through there. What happens is it hits that shelf after draining out the cowl and will slowly "wick" its way in.

    Greetings, various restoration issues

I can't add too much to my previous quoted post other than there may be better products to use, I just used what I had laying around. This is the only picture I have on my phone that shows it. 1970 Newport convertible, yours will be the same or very similar. The car I did the repair to had a...

1972 Plymouth Fury III (Gran Coupe?)

I knew someone in high school with a '68 Chevelle and it had that shifter. It was a 307 car if I remember correctly, definitely automatic and I believe two speed power glide.

    Interesting read

Sounds like a very similar building to the one in the article. I wish they would have included more pictures of the building itself. In the one you worked at, were the pumps located in some sort of breezeway? I would assume proper ventilation is key here.

    AT system

Also worth mentioning, I'm not personally familiar with ATC I, but have experience with ATC II. In the models available with ATC II, you could opt for manual A/C. The majority were equipped with ATC II. I'm not sure if the models equipped with ATC I were available with manual controls, but I...

    AT system

Both cars should have ATC I, if both are factory A/C cars. ATC II was introduced in 1971. From what I've gathered on this site, ATC I is very difficult to get operating correctly. I wish you luck, and let us know how it goes!
