1967 Plymouth III tire pressure ??

Good suggestion. I will do that. I bought these tires because they offered whitewalls. I think these older vintage cars from the past look sharp with the whitewalls but on my Fury, I like the small whitewall instead of the large ones that look better on the '30's through '50's gems.

1967 Plymouth III tire pressure ??

Thanks to all for the informative posts here. Although I don't take my Fury on very many long trips anymore, I like to drive it at least twice a week, especially with top down days getting a little closer:thumbsup:. John R

1967 Plymouth III tire pressure ??

I had my '67 Fury III convertible front end alignment done and the car tracks better which is nice. The shop rotated the tires for me and inflated the tires to 43 pounds of air and now the car seems to ride harder than before. I am using Hankook 75R 14" whitewalls and am wondering if I could let...

    Motor mounts

As was stated earlier, for my '67 Fury anyway, the 6 cylinder and 8 cylinder stub frames are the same except for the bracket placement for the engine mounts on the front cross member. In my situation, the best frame I have is from a Fury I with 6 cylinder brackets. Luckily I have a 318 frame...

    Motor mounts

Thank you RGORHAM for the kind words. I do what I can but when bitter cold sets in, work ceases. Once the spring comes, I am hoping to get to work more steadily. John

    Motor mounts

I am planning on doing the same swap. I have a '67 Fury 4 door hard top with a bent stub frame and a nice stub frame from a '67 Fury I that had a slant 6 originally. The diagrams in my service manual show both frames to be the same except where the engine mounts attach. I have another frame from...

Torsion bars for '67 Fury III

Thanks guys for the input. I actually have a factory shop manual that I bought 50 years ago from Chrysler for the 1967 model cars. I just wanted to be doubly sure that I adjust the bars correctly. Thank you again.

    Hit and run!

Your point on Grundy is well taken but the fact is, I am already paying a surcharge due to an accident I had with my other '67 Fury back in 2021 ( the details were posted on here a while back). I will try to repair this damage myself. I am sure with patience I can have it looking better at...

    Hit and run!

I spoke with Grundy Insurance and Hagerty also and found Hagerty to be very much more informed. My Grundy policy ends the end of this month so I have decided to switch to Hagerty. I didn't know that Grundy is actually affiliated with another company and the claim person I spoke with seemed...

    Hit and run!

Thank you to all for your responses especially the suggestions about possible security footage. I checked with the business right in the immediate vicinity of the incident but only the bank has cameras and they are only on the ATM machine which is on the other of the building. Some years back I...

    Hit and run!

A week ago Friday was a nice sunny morning so I took my '67 Fury III convertible for a ride. I needed to cash a check so I parked in the village which was very crowded but I found the last spot near my stop. The parking is diagonal and beside my car was a Mini Cooper which was parked crooked at...

    Wheel covers

Thanks for the quick response. With all those different applications, I'm surprised that I don't recall seeing them before. John

    Wheel covers

A guy from the town next to me gave me these 2 wheel covers. He said they were for a Plymouth Fury but they are not like any of the caps on either of my '67 Fury's. Does anyone know what car they belonged on originally? I can tell you this, they are heavy. Thanks John

    1967 Plymouth fury III hardtop

I found this listing on ebay recently. Unfortunately the auction for it has ended but I found this car to be interesting due to the fact that it is a factory standard shift on the column and manual steering. I don't know how many '67 Fury's came through like this but I have a feeling that there...

What are the chances? A passing C body breaks down in front of my house.

Could it possibly be the ballast resistor? I had one fail on one of my Fury's once. It would start but die out when the switch went to the run position. That is a nice looking Plymouth. Are those original style factory wheels? John

Torsion bars for '67 Fury III

I am replacing the stub frame on my '67 Fury III 4 door hardtop due to the present one getting bent in an accident. My replacement frame is in good condition and I have put in upper and lower control arms with strut rod bushings and torsion bars. I will add shocks before the installation. Right...

1967 Fury III fuel tank question??

I was able to purchase a decent used fuel tank filler pipe from AMS Obsolete Parts in Georgia. I cleaned it up and installed it with a new rubber grommet and it seems to be doing fine. John

I'm not a metal man but...

Yes, that is pretty much what I will do as well. I have some nice swivel 8" rubber castors that should work fine. I will be removing the frame, engine, and transmission as a whole like you have here. Thank you for the photo. Did you fabricate the straps that fastened the the cross member to the...

I'm not a metal man but...

Yes it is. I am mainly interested in how you supported the rear part of the frame when you moved it. I plan to fabricate a dolly and fasten to the rear of my frame. The front part will have the wheels on it like you have. Great work you are doing. John
