I don't want to take away from this thread, but there is a Midyear Special in the Newport line mentioned in the book Chrysler and Imperial The Postwar Years by Richard Langworth . It's the only time I've heard it mentioned.

Please tell me if I'm wrong, but isn't that a " Spring Special" 67? I think Chrysler only offered the blue vinyl top on those. I had the same combo on a 67 Newport Custom hardtop 40+ years ago but couldn't confirm if it was a Spring Special. According to the 67 brochure only black and white...

The screw is 5/8 of an inch long, and it is the same as the a pillar screws
