    A 63 Ghia Limo that's really at 62?

That's perfectly normal as many of the Ghias used previous model chassis and trim. Since there were no 1962 Ghias, it's likely that they wanted to get the show on the road as far as having the 1963s made so they shipped what they had. My own 1964 was one of twenty that was started but they took...

1964 Imperial dual AC line routing

It will help me too as I've owned my 1965 LeBaron for decades (since 1972) before I noticed that one or maybe both of the lines are reversed. That is, the end that should go into the trunk appears to be under the hood and vise versa!

    Why?.....just why?

Does anyone know what became of the black imperial pickup? As for the subject car, it’s so misproportioned as to be hideous.

    1964 Imperial door spring

I’ve had a couple original rebuilt kits in my shop since the ‘70s when I bought them from the local Imperial dealer (they even had the rear heater blowers for my Ghia-Imperial!) but maybe the modern reproduction kits will last longer. Even on 4-door models the doors are heavy!

Are AM/FM radios REALLY this expensive?

The unit in the trunk of my 1965 LeBaron is the concert hall device and is a simple mechanical reverb with springs between a pair of transducers. There’s a dash knob to control how much of the rear sound goes through it but fully-enabled, it sounds like you’re in an empty airplane hanger.

    Mr. Drysdales Imperial

Mr Drysdale’s LeBaron was often referred to as a limousine which, of course, it wasn’t but I did own one myself along with two LeBarons and a Crown Coupe. One of the studios did own a limousine and it was often seen in Six Million Dollar Man and a few other action shows of the same era. The...

    67 imperial rear a/c ??

I can’t speak for 1967 or 1968 specifically but I installed factory rear air in my 1965 Imperial LeBaron and it was easy and straightforward other than physically attaching the unit itself. The L-brackets were spot-welded to the car so took some effort to remove them.

    For Sale Lot of imperials

Especially as I’ve been looking for a good ‘65-‘66 front clip . . . I remember Lowell but thought he had Packards! I’m sure I bought one from him many decades ago.

    Insulting Members, Not Cool!

Cellular has always been an option on iPads. Even my first generation has it. All have microphones and speakers too and I can call from my landline using my pad and I can answer my cellphone on it.

    What is an apostrophe?

One of mine is the very frequent misuse, or misplacement, of the word “only”. It is supposed to immediately preceed the word or phrase to which it refers but is often stuck just about anywhere, which jumbles the meaning. Here is an example: I only speak English. What does that say? It says...

WANTED 1965 Imperial Engine Block Needed

Here's the 1964 version. EDIT: This engine was installed in Reno by the original owners while the car was still fairly new as I bought it in or around early 1972 so not sure what happened with the original. In any event, it wasn't an Imperial-specific engine either as it had the wrong oil pan...

WANTED 1965 Imperial Engine Block Needed

8 3 is indeed the date: August 3 and A413 is indeed 1965! I never noticed the cross on mine either but will see if I have a close enough photo that might show it. Of course, mine is a V41 from 1964 so maybe not.

WANTED 1965 Imperial Engine Block Needed

No and it shouldn't be necessary. I guess as a techie myself I have certain basic expectations such as checking the junk folder regularly. I manage about fifteen different email accounts and they can’t handle one!

WANTED 1965 Imperial Engine Block Needed

I don’t know of any T code but perhaps I missed it on the list. Is it on the top boss under the A/C compressor and are there any other numbers with it? The Imperial Club site has a full list of codes and their locations which should help with the identification. What is the code on your 1965...

Don’t know of any T code, at least not for Imperial. Where did you find that code?

WANTED 1965 Imperial Engine Block Needed

By the way, my engine is now mounted on a cradle for easy storage and upper-end work and was made specifically for the 413/440 block. It fits like a glove with very high quality. I believe it also fits several other Mopar big block engines. PM me if you want the builder’s name and contact...

WANTED 1965 Imperial Engine Block Needed

Never did get a response from the Craig’s List person and still need a good A413 block in the Oregon area. My own engine is easily repairable but, as it’s from a 1964, I would rather put the money into the proper one but can use it if I must. In the long run, it might be easier! Anyway, emailed...

For Sale 1967 and 1968 Imperial Parts

Some years ago I parted out a 1967 Crown Coupe and have one fender skirt in good condition along with lots of other pieces including small hard to find bolts, brackets etc. I also have some trim, the grill and emblems. Too much to list here but many are in the Classified Ads on my Packard /...

Having owned several 1964 and 1965 Imperials over the years, I found quite a few spare parts that I have no need of. For Sale 1965 IMPERIAL HEADLIGHT BEZELS

Yes, it’s the fuel tank filler cover at the center of the bumper. Would be a rather large and heavy belt buckle!
